Reboot Monkey in Manzanillo, Mexico seeks a Data Center Technician to provide on-site technical support at local facilities. You will perform Remote Hands and Smart Hands tasks, install and decommission server racks, and help maintain cabling and patch panels.

The role requires hands-on data center experience, knowledge of server hardware and networking, and strong English communication. A flexible schedule including weekends/holidays for urgent requests is expected.

Responsabilidades

• Provide Remote Hands and Smart Hands support (cabling, power cycling, hardware swaps).
• Install and decommission server racks.
• Manage cross-connects and patch panels.
• Troubleshoot hardware and perform diagnostics.
• Conduct visual inspections and inventory audits.
• Coordinate escorts and access for client visits.
• Respond to emergencies and be on-call.

The Role

We're looking for a skilled Data Center Technician in Manzanillo, Mexico to provide on-site technical support at local data center facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Remote Hands & Smart Hands support (cabling, power cycling, hardware swaps)
• Server rack installation and decommissioning
• Cross-connect and patch panel management
• Hardware troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Visual inspections and inventory audits
• Escort and access coordination for client visits
• Emergency response and on-call availability

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with data center infrastructure
• Knowledge of server hardware, networking, and cabling standards
• Reliable transportation and proximity to local data centers
• Strong communication skills in English
• Ability to lift 25kg+ equipment
• Flexible availability including weekends/holidays for urgent requests

Nice to Have

• Certifications: CompTIA Server+, Network+, CDCP, CCNA
• Experience at major DC providers (Equinix, Digital Realty, NTT, CyrusOne)
• Structured cabling expertise (fiber, Cat6, DAC)
• Data center or IT infrastructure experience
• Server hardware and networking knowledge
• Reliable and professional with strong communication
• Proximity to local data center facilities
• Flexible schedule for on-call/emergency work
