Sezzle is seeking a Fraud & Disputes Intern to analyze and respond to card and ACH disputes, working with fraud/risk and disputes teams. This paid internship offers opportunities to learn, grow, and contribute to loss prevention strategies in a fast-paced fintech environment.

You will collaborate across departments, leverage AI tools, and gain hands-on experience handling disputes while developing domain knowledge in fraud prevention.

Responsibilities

• Investigate disputed credit card, debit card, and ACH transactions and resolve within SLAs.
• Collaborate with fraud, disputes, and other teams to determine next steps.
• Analyze individual transactions using internal policies to identify patterns.
• Understand our systems and tools; investigate account patterns through data analysis.
• Work with analysts, operations, data scientists and engineers to improve loss prevention mechanisms.
• Learn and maintain domain knowledge of fraud prevention techniques and technologies.
• Maintain SLAs for timely resolution of queued cases to minimize losses.
• Handle escalations professionally.
• Leverage Claude or equivalent AI tools to boost productivity.
