Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate for import/export operations management in a face-to-face role. You will oversee security programs such as CTPAT/AEO, ensure compliance with global trade laws, and coordinate documentation with authorities.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Trade and fluent English (intermediate to advanced). Travel up to 40% nationally and internationally may be required, and a valid visa is necessary.

Role

Manage import/export operations, and procedures to ensure compliance with supply chain security programs, such as CTPAT and AEO (OEA). Evaluates import/export operations; ensures compliance with applicable global trade laws.

What you'll do
  • Management of supply chain security programs such as CTPAT and AEO (OEA); assisting in obtaining and preparing all necessary documentation required by authorities (CBP/SAT).
  • Coordinating procedures across functions for the import and export management to ensure the execution of compliant shipments and foster a cooperative atmosphere towards customer service.
Education Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in foreign Trade or a related field
  • Fluent English (Intermediate to Advanced)
Skills
  • Import/Export: Intermediate to advanced knowledge in the management and/or implementation of supply chain security programs such as CTPAT and AEO (OEA)
  • Solid knowledge of Foreign Trade regulations, practices, and trade operations.
  • Understanding of import and export compliance regulations established by local and international authorities, supported by a minimum of one year of professional experience in import and export-related positions.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to adapt to a continuous changing environment of work. Continuously seeks to add value by introducing new methods for performing activities and implementing tools or applications to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of tools or techniques for recognizing and resolving problems. Ability to communicate effectively across different areas or departments (At different levels) to apply knowledge of problem solving to diverse situations.

  • This vacancy is 100% face-to-face and the location is Nuevo Laredo.
  • Relocation Assistance is not available for this position.
  • Availability to travel 40% nationally and internationally; a valid VISA is required.
