Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a senior leader to orchestrate end-to-end supply chain planning across multiple manufacturing sites in Mexico.

You will integrate demand, supply, capacity, materials and inventory to meet production and customer needs, establishing governance and processes to improve availability, cost and resilience. The role requires leadership of large teams, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration with suppliers and internal partners.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business or related field; Master’s Degree preferred.

Role Definition

Leads supply chain planning across multiple manufacturing sites by integrating demand, supply, capacity, materials, logistics and inventory to meet production and customer needs. Establishes end-to-end strategies, governance and processes that improve availability, schedule stability, working capital, service, cost, risk management and resilience. Partners cross-functionally to convert business priorities into executable plans within complex automotive Tier 1 or Tier 2 manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Leads large, multi-site supply chain teams and workgroups of 300+ people, setting clear accountability, leadership routines and succession plans.
• Owns integrated demand, supply, capacity, materials and inventory planning for more than three plants.
• Leads the S&OP process, demand planning and statistical forecasting to convert demand and business priorities into feasible supply plans.
• Sets policies and parameters for forecasts, schedules, replenishment and inventory.
• Tracks planning, inventory, supplier, service and cash KPIs and drive corrective action.
• Aligns functions and suppliers on demand, capacity, cost, inventory and service.
• Improves and digitalizes planning processes through ERP, WMS, TMS and integrated management systems.
• Advises leadership on priorities, resources, product launches and operations.
• Builds stakeholder, customer and supplier alignment for disciplined execution.

Degree Requirement:

• Bachelor´s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business or related field; Master´s Degree related to Supply Chain preferred.
• Advanced English
• Proven expertise in multi-plant environments, with leadership of workgroups of more than 250 employees.
• Expert in leadership roles or similar positions
• Emphasis on accountability for results

• Executes logistics strategies supporting production, customers, inventory and cost.
• Implements end-to-end shipment visibility and exception management.
• Optimizes networks, modes, routes and capacity for service and cost.
• Resolves disruptions and leads cross-functional logistics improvements.

Process Management:

• Owns end-to-end processes, governance, controls and performance across plants.
• Identifies waste, bottlenecks, risks and automation opportunities using Lean Manufacturing, 6S and structured problem solving.
• Build business cases for process redesign, PMO-led initiatives and investment.
• Sustain improvements through coaching, controls, KPIs, reviews and change management.

Supply Chain Management - MFG:

• Leads the end-to-end supply chain across demand, supply, sourcing, logistics and inventory for multi-plant manufacturing operations.
• Apply systems thinking to balance cost, service levels, capacity and inventory across the network.
• Uses performance, financial and data analytics to manage service, cost, cash, demand variability and risk.
• Anticipates global, climate, transportation and supplier disruptions and develops contingency plans.
• Aligns customers, suppliers and internal partners through negotiation, communication, leadership and adaptability.

Warehouse Management:

• Overseas safe, compliant and efficient warehouse operations.
• Tracks safety, accuracy, productivity, quality, capacity and cost KPIs.
• Defines system requirements and implements integrated solutions.
• Use data and audits to drive corrective action and improvement.

Top Candidates also have:

• Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• APICS CPIM certification
• PMP or PMO certification.
• Expert in automotive Tier 1 or Tier 2 manufacturing environments.
• Strong ERP, WMS, TMS, S&OP, demand planning and statistical forecasting expertise.
• Lean Manufacturing, 6S and continuous improvement experience.
• Executive-level analytical, business, negotiation, communication, leadership and adaptability skills.

Additional Information:

• Location: Cienega de Flores, Nuevo Leon.
• This position is five-day a week in-office model.
• This position will require travelling up to 15% of working time (Domestic and International).
