Job summary

GE Aerospace in Mexico is seeking a Fielded Engine Performance intern to support development and sustainment of physics-based models across GE Engine lines. You will analyze large data sets, update models, and present results to cross-functional teams such as Prognostics, Engine Control Systems, and Engineering Services.

You will work with a team of engineers with diverse expertise, gain exposure to data-driven decision making, and participate in technical reviews and global presentations.

Qualifications

• Engineering bachelor in Computer Science, Electronics, Mechanical, Aeronautical or Mechatronics, with at least one year to graduate.
• Proficient in object-oriented programming languages (C, C++, Python) or similar.
• Experience with thermodynamics and fluid dynamics.
• Strong written and oral English communication skills.
• Availability of 40 hours per week; on-site work at GE IQ facilities.

Responsibilities

• Data quality assessment and statistical analysis.
• Broaden technical knowledge to execute policy/strategy.
• Participate in root cause analysis on field events.
• Present and substantiate results to senior leadership and direct manager.
• Show proactivity and autonomy in learning new processes and programming techniques.
