You will collaborate with Mechanical, Materials, Manufacturing teams to support legacy and new engine designs under PDE guidance.

Able to document designs with current drafting standards, perform 2D/3D CAD interpretation, and contribute to tolerance analyses.

Formación

• Currently enrolled in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with at least 1.5 years to graduation.
• Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish.
• Self-sufficient problem-solving ability.
• Solid knowledge of 2-D and 3-D CAD interpretation.

Overview

Create and/or update component drawing packages using SIEMENS NX. The PDE intern will interact with cross‑functional engineering teams—including Mechanical, Materials, Manufacturing, and others—to collaborate on legacy and new engine designs. The intern is also responsible for documenting designs using the latest drafting standards under guidance from the PDE team.

Responsibilities

• Implement producible designs of aerospace components manufactured with traditional material removal processes.
• Collaborate with technical experts to document and establish the design process for engine components.
• Create definitions of parts and assemblies in the form of 2D cross sections, 3D models, and various electronic data formats to support analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and inspection.
• Perform tolerance stack‑ups, including the impact of direct and indirect tolerances.
• Support different engine programs to create, modify, and release design drawings and models.
• Apply general business knowledge developed through education or past experience.
• Understand how the work of one’s own team contributes to the overall area.
• Resolve issues using established procedures.
• Consult a supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions or parameters.
• Collaborate with others to solve issues.
• For customer‑facing roles, develop strong customer relationships and serve as the interface between customer and GE.
• Exchange technical information, ask questions, and check for understanding.

Qualifications
