Honeywell International, Inc. invites an experienced Field Service & Technical Support professional to Monterrey to service HVAC and BAS/BMS systems on customer sites. You will perform startup, commissioning, testing, and ongoing maintenance for commercial facilities.

You will diagnose equipment, configure networks, and train customers while collaborating with project teams and service technicians. Fluency in English and Spanish is valued; frequent travel is expected.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent field service background.
• 3–5 years in HVAC controls, BAS/BMS, or technical service support.
• Experience commissioning and troubleshooting HVAC systems and BMS.
• Experience with commercial/industrial customers.

Responsabilidades

Descripción del empleo

The role serves as a technical expert and customer-facing representative, working closely with project teams, service technicians, contractors, facility managers, and end users to deliver high-quality service solutions and lifecycle support.

Field Service & Technical Support

• Perform startup, commissioning, testing, and validation of HVAC and Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS).
• Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC equipment, control systems, field devices, networks, and software applications.
• Execute preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and system upgrades.
• Analyze system performance and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Support emergency service calls and critical system recovery efforts.

HVAC & Building Automation Systems

• Maintain and optimize HVAC control systems including:
• Chillers
• Boilers
• Air Handling Units (AHUs)
• Remote Transmission Units (RTUs)
• VAV Systems
• Fan Coil Units
• Cooling Towers
• Pumping Systems
• Configure and support Honeywell Building Management Systems (BMS) and Building Automation Systems (BAS).
• Implement control system modifications, software updates, graphics enhancements, and sequence adjustments.
• Verify proper operation of sensors, actuators, controllers, and field devices.

System Integration & Networking

• Support integration of HVAC and building systems using industry-standard communication protocols, including:
• BACnet
• Modbus
• LonWorks
• IP-based control networks
• Assist with controller programming, network configuration, and database management.
• Diagnose communication failures and network performance issues.

Customer Support & Training

• Provide technical support and consultation to customers regarding system operation and performance.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through responsive service delivery.
• Conduct customer training on HVAC controls, BAS operation, and system best practices.
• Communicate findings, recommendations, and service activities through detailed service reports.

Project & Continuous Improvement Support

• Collaborate with project engineering, System engineering, Application Engineering sales, and operations teams, including Global Eng Team
• Support retrofit, upgrade, and modernization projects.
• Assist in identifying energy-saving opportunities and operational improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company safety procedures, quality standards, and customer requirements.

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Equivalent field service experience may be considered.
• 3-5 years of experience in HVAC controls, Building Automation Systems, field service engineering, Application Engineering or technical service support.
• Experience commissioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting HVAC systems, BMS and BAS and control platforms. / Niagara framework
• Experience working directly with commercial and industrial customers.
• HVAC equipment and system operation.
• Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Building Management Systems (BMS).
• HVAC controls, instrumentation, sensors, actuators, and controllers.
• DDC (Direct Digital Controls) systems.
• Network architecture and communication protocols.
• Electrical troubleshooting and control panel diagnostics.
• Energy management and building performance optimization.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE standards and industry best practices.

• Niagara Framework, Tridium, or similar BAS experience.
• HVAC, controls, electrical, or automation certifications.
• Experience supporting mission-critical and commercial facilities.

Travel Requirements

• Based in Monterrey City but in future with potential travel up to 50% within assigned territory
• Mainly located at customer site 100%
• Availability for occasional after-hours, weekend, and emergency support.
