Honeywell Technologies is seeking a Senior Automation Process Quality Engineer at our Monterrey facility. You will develop robust automation processes for welding and assembly, mentor the Automation team, and ensure cost, quality and schedule targets are met.
The role requires a Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics degree, 3–5 years in HVAC controls or BAS, PLC programming, and strong Lean, DMAIC, and GD&T skills. Travel up to 50% and on-site work are expected.

**What's it for you:**
As **Senior Automation Process Quality Engineer** you will develop robust and reliable manufacturing processes related to Automation to support regular operations, NPD programs, and productivity initiatives in Monterrey facility. The Automation PQE should constantly meet Product/Project Costs, Quality, and implementation schedule established by the project while being a mentor for the Automation team.
**What you will do:**
+ Apply highly technical skills in developing Automation Processes (Welding and Assembly Fanuc Robots) achieving Process Control and Capability requirements, while meeting Safety Requirements.
+ Define machine specifications, approval protocols, runoff, and installation requirements for Capital equipment related to Automation Equipment.
+ Perform advanced problem solving using 6-Sigma, DOE, A3, 9 Step Problem Solving, and 5-Why tools to systematically determine root cause.
+ Develop, maintain, and improve Automation processes.
+ Design/select Automation tools and fixtures, define inspection process applying GD&T principles.
+ Analyze, develop and implement process improvements automation cells.
+ Perform administrative tasks as part of project implementation: Purchase Orders and follow up (Capital, equipment, fixtures, and tools).
+ Measure, analyze and improve indicators in SQDIP (SCRAP, FPY, DPU's, Downtime and Efficiency of machining equipment).
+ Develop and update Control Plans, PFMEAs, JSAs and Ergonomic studies related to machining and assembly processes. Follow up to the EHS scorecard metrics.
+ Collaborate in Opex initiatives as VSAs, RIEs, and Gembas.
**What you will bring:**
+ Mechanical/Industrial/Mechatronic BSc degree, preferrable MSc Materials, Mechanical Engineering, Product Engineering, Quality or similar.
+ Manufacturing/Process/Quality Engineer with at least 5 years on Automation.
+ Project Management, Team management.
+ Advance PLC programming and tool selection and design. Mastery of Ethernet, Device Net, ControlNet, Modbus, and Profibus communication networks.
+ Very competent/mentor on Lean Manufacturing, Material flow, DMAIC, GD&T, MiniTab, TPM, Autocad.
+ English 90%

The role serves as a technical expert and customer-facing representative, working closely with project teams, service technicians, contractors, facility managers, and end users to deliver high-quality service solutions and lifecycle support.
**Field Service & Technical Support**
+ Perform startup, commissioning, testing, and validation of HVAC and Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS).
+ Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC equipment, control systems, field devices, networks, and software applications.
+ Execute preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and system upgrades.
+ Analyze system performance and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability and efficiency.
+ Support emergency service calls and critical system recovery efforts.
**HVAC & Building Automation Systems**
+ Maintain and optimize HVAC control systems including:
+ Chillers
+ Boilers
+ Air Handling Units (AHUs)
+ Remote Transmission Units (RTUs)
+ VAV Systems
+ Fan Coil Units
+ Cooling Towers
+ Pumping Systems
+ Configure and support Honeywell Building Management Systems (BMS) and Building Automation Systems (BAS).
+ Implement control system modifications, software updates, graphics enhancements, and sequence adjustments.
+ Verify proper operation of sensors, actuators, controllers, and field devices.
**System Integration & Networking**
+ Support integration of HVAC and building systems using industry-standard communication protocols, including:
+ BACnet
+ Modbus
+ LonWorks
+ IP-based control networks
+ Assist with controller programming, network configuration, and database management.
+ Diagnose communication failures and network performance issues.
**Customer Support & Training**
+ Provide technical support and consultation to customers regarding system operation and performance.
+ Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through responsive service delivery.
+ Conduct customer training on HVAC controls, BAS operation, and system best practices.
+ Communicate findings, recommendations, and service activities through detailed service reports.
**Project & Continuous Improvement Support**
+ Collaborate with project engineering, System engineering, Application Engineering sales, and operations teams, including Global Eng Team
+ Support retrofit, upgrade, and modernization projects.
+ Assist in identifying energy-saving opportunities and operational improvements.
+ Ensure compliance with company safety procedures, quality standards, and customer requirements.
**YOU MUST HAVE**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related technical field.
+ Equivalent field service experience may be considered.
+ 3-5 years of experience in HVAC controls, Building Automation Systems, field service engineering, Application Engineering or technical service support.
+ Experience commissioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting HVAC systems, BMS and BAS and control platforms. / Niagara framework
+ Experience working directly with commercial and industrial customers.
+ HVAC equipment and system operation.
+ Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Building Management Systems (BMS).
+ HVAC controls, instrumentation, sensors, actuators, and controllers.
+ DDC (Direct Digital Controls) systems.
+ Network architecture and communication protocols.
+ Electrical troubleshooting and control panel diagnostics.
+ Energy management and building performance optimization.
+ Knowledge of ASHRAE standards and industry best practices.
**WE VALUE**
+ Experience with Honeywell Building Solutions products and software platforms
+ Experience with Autocad Software
+ Niagara Framework, Tridium, or similar BAS experience.
+ HVAC, controls, electrical, or automation certifications.

+ Based in Monterrey City but in future with potential travel up to 50% within assigned territory
