Job summary

Flex, based in Guadalajara, seeks a Failure Analysis Engineer to diagnose and resolve failures in complex electronic products. You will develop, validate, and improve functional test solutions, support manufacturing operations, and drive root-cause investigations across design, quality, and process teams.

The role requires hands-on debugging of microcontroller-based systems, scripting in Python/C/C++, and experience with automated test environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical, Automation, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Experience in Electronics Manufacturing Functional Test (FCT) Development & Validation.
Failure Analysis & Electronics Troubleshooting.
Hardware Validation Analog & Digital Electronics.
Embedded Systems & Microcontrollers UART, SPI, I2C, CAN.
Test Automation & Data Acquisition; Board-Level Debugging Python, C/C++ or LabVIEW.
Experience supporting manufacturing test stations and diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

Perform failure analysis on electronic assemblies, PCBs, and finished products.
Troubleshoot and diagnose electronic failures with oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers.
Interpret schematics, datasheets and docs; develop and validate functional test solutions.
Lead root-cause investigations using structured methodologies.
Develop scripts and tools to automate testing and data collection.
