Zurich Capability Center is currently looking for an ETL Lead Developer.

This position will be part of an Enterprise Data Management Team responsible for leveraging data assets across the organization and facilitating the development and implementation of the desired end-state data environment. The team aims to improve decision-making by providing high-quality, transparent data within the data warehouse and data marts.

The Data Engineer will have experience working with large data sets, designing, developing, and debugging Informatica processes that populate Data warehouses on (MPP) platforms. Knowledge of Big Data technologies and tools is essential, along with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

The role involves participating in core teams to identify and validate data scenarios within the Enterprise. The candidate should be capable of developing actionable plans, recognizing opportunities, and reporting progress. Technical documentation and team coordination skills are required.

Client Focus: The role primarily involves delivering services to internal clients, such as line managers or employees, and may include sharing subject matter expertise or supporting others in their tasks.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Mathematics/Statistics with 6+ years of Data Engineering experience
  • OR High School Diploma and 8+ years of Data Engineering experience
  • OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 6+ years of Data Engineering experience

AND

  • 7+ years of experience in Enterprise Data Management
  • Experience with ETL architecture, design, and end-to-end development
  • Proficiency in scripting languages
  • Experience with data transformation and aggregation tools
  • Experience in data analysis, interrogation, or profiling

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Informatica PowerCenter
  • Experience processing large datasets on MPP platforms
  • Strong SQL and stored procedures skills
  • Scripting experience including Shell and Perl
  • Experience with replication tools like Attunity
  • Exposure to job scheduling tools such as AutoSys
  • Experience with DevOps practices
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Insurance industry experience
