Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking an ERP Project Manager to lead full lifecycle of ERP transformation initiatives within the Enterprise. You will work with cross-functional teams, apply project management methodology, and drive on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role includes coordinating schedules, cost estimation, risk mitigation, and collaboration across global stakeholders. This one-year fixed-term contract offers opportunities to influence large-scale programs, with emphasis on collaboration,

Qualifications

• 3-5 years related Project Management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer and Information Science.

Responsibilities

• Assist ERP Project team on cross-functional project teams with employees at various reporting levels.
• Define scope, develop project plans, and execute projects within cost and schedule.
• Aid ERP Project Director on high-complexity program aspects.
• Assist in coordinating via SharePoint/MS Teams and action item assignments.
• Collaborate on coordination, status reporting and stability of project work.
• Liaise between team and subprocess owners; document meetings, issues and metrics.
• Work with distributed teams on project planning and risk mitigation.
• Coordinate resources and schedules for timely project completion.
• Collaborate with Enterprise teams to implement solutions and training as needed.

ERP Project Manager will be part of the ERP Transformation Business Team. Responsible for full life- cycle of projects from initiation to completion. Assists in the development of project/program plans across Enterprise. Apply Project/Program management methodology and appropriate project management framework for all projects activities (defining scheduling, budget, risk, change, and opportunity and resource management activities). Assists with technical review of system design and documentation. Assists in continuous improvement activities. Manage small to large jobs or multiple projects. Successfully initiate, plan, execute and close all project deliverables as committed.

This position is offered under a one-year fixed-term contract.

What will you do?

• Assist ERP Project team on cross-functional project teams with employees at various reporting levels.
• Use disciplined project management methodology to define scope, develop project plan, and execute projects that adhere to guidelines and deliver within cost and schedule.
• Assist ERP Project Director on driving specific aspects of a large program with high complexity.
• Assist ERP Project Director on assembling plans, interact with collaboration tools (SharePoint, MS Teams) and action items assignments on a daily basis.
• Collaborate on overall coordination, status reporting and stability of project work efforts.
• Liaison between the team and the Sub-process owners; WS leads phase and business reviews, project meeting minutes, issues log, metrics, and other key communications.
• Work in collaboration with individual contributors or cross-functional project teams that may be geographically distributed.
• Collaborate in project planning, cost estimation and related scope control. Learn to assess, prioritize and mitigate project risks.
• Assist ERP Project Director on coordinating activities of Program team, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of project/Program.
• Collaborate with Enterprise team, and organization level and implement solutions, whether training-related or not.

• 3-5 years related Project Management experience; preferably in a large, global organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer and Information Science.
