Flex is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Engineer (SMT) for our Guadalajara, South Campus. You will troubleshoot, repair and maintain manufacturing equipment to achieve cost, quality and delivery targets.

The role reports to the Equipment Maintenance Manager and involves calibrations, preventive maintenance and assisting with installation of process equipment. We expect experience in SMT, PTH & PCBA, advanced English communication, and a BA/BS or equivalent.

Formación

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in an electronic manufacturing environment.
• Advanced English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Experience in SMT, PTH & PCBA.
• Knowledge in preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance.

Responsabilidades

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain manufacturing equipment to meet cost, quality and delivery goals.
• Perform preventive maintenance at specified intervals and schedules.
• Perform calibrations and re-qualifications on equipment at specified intervals and schedules.
• Assist process technicians and engineers with installation and removal of process equipment.
• Research and implement corrective actions and process tracking mechanisms.
• Record times and problems in equipment logs.
• Set up laboratory equipment to test, evaluate and calibrate instruments.
• Disassemble equipment and inspect components for defects.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Equipment Maintenance Engineer (SMT) located in Guadalajara, South Campus.

Reporting to the Equipment Maintenance Manager, the role involves responsibilities for activities of personnel engaged in the troubleshooting, repairing and maintenance of manufacturing equipment in order to attain goals consistent with cost, quality, and delivery requirements.

What a typical day looks like:

• Through troubleshooting, identifies machine malfunctions and isolates the failure mechanism.
• Repairs the failure mechanism in the most cost-effective manner.
• Performs preventive maintenance at specified intervals and schedules.
• Performs calibrations and re-qualifications on equipment at specified intervals and schedules.
• Assists process technicians and engineers with the installation and removal of process equipment.
• Researches and implements corrective action reports and process tracking mechanisms.
• Records times and problems in equipment logs.
• Provides daily equipment functioning activity information.
• Sets up standard and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate and calibrate other instruments and test equipment.
• Disassembles instruments and equipment and inspects components for defects.
• Aligns repairs, replaces, and balances component parts and circuitry.
• Devises formulas to solve problems in measurements and calibrations.
• Assists engineers in formulating test, calibration, repair and evaluation plans and procedures to maintain precision accuracy of measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment.
• May require travel to other Flex sites or equipment vendors' locations.
• Highest level may perform both software and hardware maintenance.
• Allocating work to a team of fitters.
• Checking and calibrating instruments to make sure they are accurate.
• Fitting new parts.
• Carrying out quality inspections.
• Acknowledging immediately to equipment breakdowns.
• Fixing faults on site or arranging for replacement machinery or equipment to be installed.
• Keeping production managers informed of progress.
• Organizing teams or unipersonal to make sure that 24-hour cover is available.
• Working on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or computerized systems.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in similar position in electronic manufacturing environment.
• Advanced English communication skills (verbal and Written).
• Experiences in SMT, PTH & PCBA.
• Knowledge in preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance.
