Flex is seeking a seasoned Test Engineer 4 to join our Guadalajara North Campus. You will lead testing activities, troubleshoot and repair test equipment, and collaborate with customers and suppliers to ensure data quality and reliability.

Responsibilities include calibration, problem solving, and data reporting, with a focus on yield improvement and TPM-oriented maintenance. Fluency in English enables effective technical communication.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in electronics-related field.
• Minimum 5 years of test engineering experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Strong experience with ICT (In-Circuit Test) systems.
• Knowledge of failure analysis, yield improvement, and false failure reduction.
• Experience with Preventive, Corrective, and TPM maintenance.
• Troubleshooting and repair of test equipment.
• Experience leading technical personnel and team development.
• Experience interacting with customers and ICT equipment suppliers.
• Intermediate-Advanced English for technical meetings.

Reporting to the Test Engineer Manager, the role involves responsibilities for activities of personnel engaged in the troubleshooting, repairing and maintenance of manufacturing equipment in order to attain goals consistent with cost, quality, and delivery requirements.

What a typical day looks like:

• Directs and/or coordinates electronic engineering and/or technical personnel in fabrication and design of testing and test control apparatus and equipment, or software and systems testing.
• Directs and coordinates electronic engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation and calibration of instruments, equipment and control devices required to test, and record test data.
• Interfaces and confers with scientific, engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation or coding issues.
• Evaluates and interprets test data and prepares technical reports for use by electronic or software engineering, and management personnel.
• May develops or use computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software.
• Trains and instructs floor support, test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as problem solving techniques.
• Resolves test yield problems by performing evaluation of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements.
• Perform and support equipment verification and integration in production.
• Create and maintain process documentation.
• Actively search for new technologies or procedures in the test sector.
• Defines conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Test Engineering within the electronics manufacturing industry (EMS/PCBA).
• Strong experience with ICT (In-Circuit Test) systems.
• Knowledge of failure analysis, yield improvement, and false failure reduction.
• Experience with Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodologies.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting and repair of test equipment.
• Experience leading technical personnel and supporting team development.
• Experience interacting with customers and suppliers that provide ICT equipment and test support services.
• Intermediate-Advanced English level, with the ability to participate in technical meetings and communicate effectively with customers and suppliers.
