Flex is seeking a Process Engineering Manager (Repairs) in Guadalajara, Mexico, to oversee repair manufacturing processes and drive cost, quality and throughput improvements.

You will lead process development, supervise three shifts, and coordinate with engineering teams to implement ECOs and new equipment, while maintaining IPC and JEDEC compliance.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
• Advanced English proficiency required
• Experience in repairs: PTH, BGAs/ASIC and Pads
• IPC7711/7721, IPC610 and JEDEC knowledge
• Critical repairs experience and mass production exposure
• Ability to supervise staff across three shifts
• Experience in NP I and Mass Production
• Knowledge of control and fix systems and IPC standards

Responsabilidades

• Define, implement and evaluate manufacturability designs and processes.
• Identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process.
• Supervise production across shifts and track repair metrics.
• Justify, purchase and implement capital equipment for production.
• Oversee new process equipment and ECOs (engineering change orders).
• Develop robust process parameters and control methodologies.
• Provide training during new technology transfer and participate in cost-improvement programs.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an Process Engineering Manager (Repairs) located in Guadalajara, North, Mexico.

Reporting to the Sr Director, Operations Engineering Process Engineering Manager (Repairs)r this role involves overseeing directing the manufacturing operations performed in a shift or group of production lines, ensuring they reach volume, quality and cost goals.

What a typical day looks like:

• Recognize the manufacturing process, technologies, techniques and the product
• Define, implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability.
• Have the capability to singly or with other engineering stakeholders identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process
• High level participation in daily production activities and effective problem solving on daily issues
• Prepare justification, purchase and implement capital equipment for production.
• Hold up and oversee new process equipment production.
• Hold up the raising and introduction of engineering change orders (ECOs).
• Establish robust, repeatable and reproducible process parameters
• Develop, implement and take ownership of process controlmethodologies.
• Trouble shoot process related issues.
• Participate in activities pertaining to cycle time and process improvements.
• Evaluate and select various engineered materials.
• Implement statistical process research on new and existing products.
• Implement safety, productivity and give in improvements.
• Improve manufacturing techniques and through put.
• Provide continuous development of manufacturing techniques that will improve in-house capabilities and gives in.
• Develop and maintain process documentation.
• Review processing methods.
• Interface with production of all activities associated with new process implementation and transfer.
• Assist in the development of training and provide training to production personnel during new technology transfer.
• Provide equipment maintenance and repair hold up as required.
• Guide costimprovement/reductionprograms.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience and training.
• English advanced.
• Experience in repairs: PTH, BGAs /ASIC and Pads
• Knowledge in IPC7711/7721, IPC610 y JEDECS.
• Critical repairs experience
• Full experience with material disposition
• Failure modes analysis with diagnosis to provide feedback to the process.
• Ability to supervise staff across all three shifts.
• Definition of shift metrics for repair and rework areas.
• Previous experience in similar roles (Electronics Industry).
• Experience in NPI and Mass Production.
• Knowledge of control and fix systems.
• IPC knowledge.
