Job summary

Flex Ltd in Guadalajara (North Campus) seeks an Equipment Maintenance Engineer to support manufacturing operations. You will troubleshoot and maintain SMT equipment, including SIPLACE/DEK systems, and lead startup testing, validations, and process improvements.

Responsibilities include documenting maintenance actions, training technicians, and ensuring safety and compliance with procedures while coordinating with the Process Engineering Director and client-facing partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience with equipment maintenance in manufacturing operations.
• Experience with SMT equipment installation and relocation.
• Strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot SMT equipment and identify failures in electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Perform repairs, component replacements, adjustments, and fine tuning on advanced manufacturing equipment.
• Update daily equipment status, performance metrics, and downtime reports; execute preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Program, optimize, and support equipment including ASM SIPLACE and DEK printers.
• Lead equipment start ups, testing, commissioning and validations; document logs and technical reports.
• Support audits, reliability initiatives and continuous improvement projects; train technicians and enforce maintenance procedures.
• Promote safety and best maintenance practices.
