Confidential is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety programs at our manufacturing site in Mexico. The role focuses on proactive safety culture, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Chemical/Industrial/Environmental Engineering, 3+ years in EHS leadership, fluent English, and strong knowledge of EHS management systems and regulatory requirements.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical, Industrial, Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar EHS leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Strong knowledge of EHS management systems, regulatory compliance, and environmental and occupational safety requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Responsabilidades

• Lead development, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of the site's EHS Management System.
• Act as a strategic EHS partner to Operations, Engineering, HR, Maintenance, Materials and Quality.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as ISO standards.
• Establish and monitor EHS performance metrics and leading indicators.
• Lead audits and ensure timely closure of corrective and preventive actions.
• Oversee hazardous and non-hazardous waste management and disposal.
• Maintain permits, reporting and government submissions.
• Develop emergency response and contingency plans with authorities and internal teams.
• Serve as EHS representative and lead auditor for ISO 14001/45001.
• Promote a culture where employees identify risks and own safety.

We are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead and strengthen Environmental, Health & Safety programs within a manufacturing organization. This position will play a key role in building a proactive safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, reducing operational risks, and driving continuous improvement across the organization.

Core Areas

• Act as a strategic EHS partner to Operations, Engineering, Human Resources, Maintenance, Materials, and Quality.
• Lead the development, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the site's EHS Management System.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as relevant management system and customer requirements, including ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
• Establish and monitor EHS performance metrics, leading indicators, and improvement initiatives.
• Lead environmental, health, and safety audits and ensure timely closure of corrective and preventive actions.
• Oversee the management, storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials and waste.
• Maintain regulatory compliance, permits, reporting, and required government submissions.
• Develop and maintain emergency response and contingency plans in coordination with relevant authorities and internal teams.
• Serve as the site's EHS representative and lead auditor for applicable ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 activities.
• Provide constructive challenge to site leadership to drive risk reduction, prevention, and continuous improvement.
• Lead and develop the EHS team and manage assigned contractors and service providers.
• Provide EHS support and coordination across Mexico sites.
• Promote a culture where employees actively identify risks, report unsafe conditions, and take ownership of workplace safety.
• Maintain the authority to elevate non‑compliance and stop operations when environmental or safety conditions present a significant risk to employees or violate established management systems.

Technical competencies required:

• Mexican regulatory & legal: Federal law & applicable STPS NOMs , IMSS & prima de riesgo

STPS inspection & Comisión Mixta, Protección Civil programme, SEMARNAT, PROFEPA & IMMEX waste.

• Systems, assurance & data Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 , AITF and RBA Audits, investigation and root cause, metrics and board‑level reporting, training and competence assurance.
• Health, hygiene & wellbeing : Ergonomics & MSDS prevention, Occupational health and case management, NOM035 psychosocial/ISO45003
• Operational risk control: Risk assessment methodology, press guarding & lockout/tagout, electrical safety & test areas, chemicals , solvents & solder fume, fire loading & mass evacuation, contractors, change & logistics
• Environment & sustainability: Hazardous waste, cradle to grave; air, water and energy; Product complaince interface.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Industrial, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar EHS leadership role, required in a manufacturing environment.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Strong knowledge of EHS management systems, regulatory compliance, and environmental and occupational safety requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
