Sanmina is seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Engineer to lead EHS compliance across manufacturing operations in Mexico. The role includes supervising personnel, conducting continuous inspections, and implementing global EHS standards.

Responsibilities include root-cause analysis, developing JHAs, managing permits for hot work and working at heights, and coordinating emergency response planning. Strong English and a background in engineering are required.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree required in Environmental, Industrial, Chemical, Process Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in EHS roles within manufacturing.
• Advanced English required; demonstrated supervisory experience.

Responsabilidades

• Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective action plans.
• Conduct regular safety and environmental inspections across production areas.
• Develop and update Job Hazard Analyses (JHA/ART) for equipment and workstations.
• Issue and oversee permits for hot work, heights, and other critical activities.
• Inspect warehouses, forklifts, racking systems, and pressure vessels.
• Review SDSs and hazardous waste handling procedures.
• Monitor recyclable material dispatch and maintain tracking logs.
• Maintain Emergency Response Plan and inspect emergency equipment.

This role involves personnel supervision, executing continuous operational inspections, and implementing global EHS standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) roles within manufacturing industry.
• Advanced English.
• Proven experience in personnel supervision.

Required Technical Knowledge

• STPS Official Mexican Standards (Industrial Safety and Hygiene).
• SEMARNAT Official Mexican Standards (Environmental Protection and Management).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Google Workspace tools (Gmail, Google Drive).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective action plans.
• Conduct regular safety and environmental inspections across production line releases and support areas.
• Develop and update Job Hazard Analyses (JHA/ART) for equipment, machinery, and workstations.
• Issue and oversee permits for hot work (welding/cutting), working at heights, and other critical activities.
• Inspect warehouses, forklifts, racking systems, and pressure vessels.
• Review Chemical Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and hazardous waste handling procedures.
• Monitor recyclable material dispatch and maintain tracking logs.
• Manage weekly inspection logs and ATRP for Hazardous Waste (RP).
• Maintain and coordinate the Emergency Response Plan and routinely inspect all emergency equipment
