BRP is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Leader in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua. The role directs EHS programs, audits, and risk management to ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal standards.

Responsibilities include leading a team, coordinating with various departments, and maintaining metrics. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 6 years in EHS and strong English proficiency to engage with regulatory agencies and global teams.

Formación

  • Industrial, Environmental, Chemical-Biological Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience working in EHS.
  • Experience managing personnel.
  • English.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead a team to implement health, safety, and environment programs.
  • Act as a business partner across departments.
  • Develop strategies to improve safety and reduce environmental impact.
  • Maintain site and corporate metrics and report them as required.
  • Verify compliance with health, safety, and environmental programs.
  • Support inspections from SEMARNAT, JMAS, STPS, PROFEPA, SDUE, and Civil Protection.
  • Ensure closure of corrective actions from audits.
  • Document and manage risk, waste, audits, and related activities.
  • Provide EHS training and guidance to teams.

General Description

Develops, implements, and maintains the Environmental, Health, and Safety Management System. Leads internal and external audits, coordinates action plans, and ensures the closure of findings. Ensures compliance with applicable Health, Safety, and Environmental laws and regulations.

Experience And Education
  • Industrial, Environmental, Chemical-Biological Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience working in EHS.
  • Experience managing personnel.
  • English.
Knowledge, Skills, And Certifications
  • Development, investigation, leadership, and project management.
  • Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety legislation.
  • Experience managing permits and requirements with government agencies (JMAS, PROFEPA, SEMARNAT, SDUE, Civil Protection, SEGOB, etc.).
  • Internal Auditor ISO 45001, 9001, 18001.
  • 5 years of experience with HSE Management Systems.
  • Statistical knowledge of Lean tools.
  • Ergonomics and safe operation of machinery and equipment.
  • Leader and facilitator in accident and incident processes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team to ensure the implementation of programs and activities related to health, safety, and environment.
  • Act as a business partner, as applicable, across different areas and departments of the company.
  • Develop and promote strategies aimed at improving indicators to provide a safe environment and reduce environmental impact.
  • Maintain site and corporate metrics and report them according to the requirements of different meetings and departments.
  • Verify compliance with health, safety, and environmental programs.
  • Attend and support inspections from government representatives and agencies, including SEMARNAT, JMAS, STPS, PROFEPA, SDUE, and Civil Protection.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external audits and the closure of corrective actions resulting from them.
  • Collect, document, and maintain relevant information from different areas of the department, including risk management, waste management (air, soil, water, etc.), audits, corporate reports, and related activities.
  • Develop risk assessment and risk management strategies.
  • Provide Health, Safety, and Environmental training, guide teams to ensure timely compliance, and promote learning within the group under their responsibility.
  • Provide guidance and participate in the implementation and documentation of high-risk procedures and permits, including contractors, work at heights, cutting and welding, LOTO, electrical work, confined spaces, and change management.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams from different departments and attend meetings as required by the area of responsibility.
  • Participate in compliance with the QMS (Quality Management System) requirements established for the position in accordance with ISO 9001:2015.
  • Comply with safety rules applicable to the position.
  • Complete planned Quality and Training-related training activities on time.
  • Identify and report any quality or compliance issues and support corrective actions.
