Amphenol tcs in Mexicali, Mexico, seeks an experienced engineering leader to guide Manufacturing, Quality, Automation, and Continuous Improvement teams. You will drive strategies to meet safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost and capacity objectives, while leading NPI, production transfers, and equipment installations.

You will coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Planning, Purchasing, and Finance, monitor performance using key metrics, and champion

Formación

  • Bachelor's in Industrial/Manufacturing or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations or PM in manufacturing.
  • Minimum 3 years leading engineering teams.
  • Experience with NPI, transfers, assembly, testing, molding, crimping, and equipment implementation.
  • Experience managing budgets and CAPEX projects.
  • Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC.
  • Lean manufacturing, statistics, continuous improvement, waste reduction.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced English for global communication.
  • Travel availability; U.S. visa preferred.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead Manufacturing, Quality, Automation, and CI teams.
  • Develop strategies to hit safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost and capacity goals.
  • Lead NPI, transfers, capacity expansion, equipment installs, manufacturing readiness.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Engineering, Quality, Operations, Maintenance, SCM, Planning, Purchasing and Finance.
  • Monitor performance with Yield, FPY, OEE, PPM, productivity and costs.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality and capacity.
  • Lead process optimization, automation, cost-saving initiatives.
  • Manage budgets, CAPEX, equipment investments and resources.
  • Ensure APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, instructions, validations, and change control.
  • Provide executive reports on engineering performance, project status and risks.
  • Develop engineering talent through training, coaching and succession planning.
  • Support audits and timely closure of findings.

Responsabilidades
  • Lead Manufacturing, Quality, Automation, and Continuous Improvement engineering teams.
  • Develop engineering strategies to achieve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost, and capacity objectives.
  • Lead New Product Introduction (NPI), production transfers, capacity expansion, equipment installation, and manufacturing readiness activities.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Quality, Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Planning, Purchasing, and Finance.
  • Monitor manufacturing performance through key metrics such as Yield, FPY, OEE, PPM, productivity, downtime, and manufacturing cost.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality, productivity, capacity, and customer-related issues.
  • Lead process optimization, waste reduction, automation, equipment reliability, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Manage engineering budgets, CAPEX projects, equipment investments, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, work instructions, validations, and engineering change-control requirements.
  • Provide executive reports on engineering performance, project status, operational risks, and improvement plans.
  • Develop engineering talent through technical training, coaching, succession planning, and performance management.
  • Support customer, regulatory, and certification audits, ensuring timely closure of findings and corrective actions.
Requisitos
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or Project Management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading engineering teams.
  • Experience with NPI, manufacturing transfers, assembly, testing, molding, crimping, and equipment implementation.
  • Experience managing engineering budgets, CAPEX, and capital investment projects.
  • Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, statistical analysis, continuous improvement, and waste-reduction tools.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, risk management, and engineering change control.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced English proficiency for communication with customers and global teams.
  • Experience interacting directly with OEM customers and supporting customer or certification audits is preferred.
  • IATF 16949 and/or ISO 9001 experience it's a plus.
  • Automation and manufacturing digitalization experience is preferred.
  • Availability to travel and a valid U.S. visa are preferred.
