Job summary

Aurora Energy Research is seeking a Business Development Associate based in Mexico City to join our LATAM sales team. You will help grow our subscription services by supporting prospecting, pipeline management, and client engagements with a strong commercial mindset and exceptional communication.

The role emphasizes collaboration across marketing, product, and research teams, with opportunities to develop market insights and contribute to long-term energy market outlooks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• No prior professional experience is required; we welcome applications from recent graduates and early-career candidates.
• Fluency in Spanish (C2) and English (C1).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.
• Excellent organization, persistence, and diligence.

Responsibilities

• Support the sales team in prospecting, qualifying, and researching potential clients across assigned markets or segments.
• Assist in managing sales pipeline data in the CRM (Salesforce), ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
• Prepare client-facing materials, including presentations, proposals, and briefing notes, under guidance from senior team members.
• Conduct market and company research to support outreach strategies and client discussions.
• Coordinate and schedule introductory calls, demos, and follow-up meetings with prospects.
• Track and report on sales activities, lead progress, and conversion metrics.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, and research teams to ensure consistent messaging and value proposition.
• Support client onboarding and handover once deals are closed.
• Assist research/publications team in developing long-term market outlook when appropriate.
