Placements24 is seeking an experienced Endpoint and Malware Security Analyst to join their security team in Mexicali, Baja California. This hybrid role focuses on protecting endpoints from malware, APTs, and other threats by managing EDR solutions, analyzing malware samples, and coordinating incident response activities related to endpoints.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in endpoint security or incident response, hands-on experience with CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, or Defender for Endpoint, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in cybersecurity, CS, IT or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years in endpoint security, malware analysis, or incident response.
• Hands-on experience with EDR solutions such as CrowdStrike, SentinelOne or Defender for Endpoint.
• Knowledge of malware analysis techniques and OS security features.
• Familiar with file integrity monitoring, HIPS, and application whitelisting.
• Certifications like CySA+, GIAC GSEC, or ECIH are advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and manage endpoint security solutions (EDR, Antivirus, HIPS).
• Analyze malware samples and identify indicators of compromise (IOCs).
• Investigate endpoint security alerts and incidents.
• Develop and implement policies for endpoint security tools.
• Perform threat hunting on endpoints to detect undetected threats.
• Support incident response planning and execution for endpoints.
• Stay updated on malware trends, attack vectors, and endpoint security tech.
• Provide recommendations to improve endpoint security posture.
• Collaborate with IT operations for timely patching and updates.
