Versigent seeks a senior attorney to provide labor and employment legal support across the Americas, focusing on Mexico regional operations. You will advise HR and stakeholders on employee relations, policy interpretation, hiring, discipline, and separations.

In this role, you will analyze evolving labor laws, support global HR centers of excellence, draft and revise employment documents, and assist with corporate transactions and investigations. On-site work in Ciudad Juarez or Troy is required.

Formación

  • 10+ years advising organizations on labor and employment matters.
  • Experience providing practical legal advice on employment-related issues.
  • Experience supporting HR and business stakeholders on employment law.

Responsabilidades

  • Provide day-to-day legal support to HR and business stakeholders on employment-related issues, including employee relations, policy interpretation, hiring, discipline, and separations.
  • Research and analyze labor and employment laws, regulations, and developments, assessing potential business impacts.
  • Support Global HR Centers of Excellence on employment-related matters and initiatives.
  • Draft, review, and revise employment-related agreements, policies, and training materials.
  • Assist with implementation and maintenance of company employment policies and procedures.
  • Support workforce changes, reorganizations, and other initiatives from a legal perspective.
  • Assist with due diligence and integration activities related to mergers and acquisitions.

Responsibilities
  • Support labor and employment legal matters acrossthe Americas with a primary focus on Mexicoregional operations under the guidance of senior legal team members.
  • Provide day-to-day legal support to Human Resources and business stakeholders on employment-related issues, including employee relations matters, policy interpretation, hiring, discipline, and separations.
  • Research and analyze labor and employment laws, regulations, and emerging legal developments, andassistin assessing potential business impacts.
  • Support Global Human Resources Centers of Excellence (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, Labor Relations) on employment-related legal matters and initiatives.
  • Draft, review, and revise employment-related agreements, policies, procedures, communications, and training materials.
  • Assistwith the implementation and maintenance of company employment policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Support employment-related aspects of workforce changes, reorganizations, business integrations, and other organizational initiatives.
  • Assistwith labor and employment due diligence andintegrationactivities related to mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
  • Support the management of employment claims, administrative charges, litigation matters, and pre-litigation disputes, including document collection, fact gathering, and coordination with outside counsel.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials for internal stakeholders and department initiatives.
  • Maintain matter tracking systems, legal records, and departmental metrics.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of employment, compliance, and litigation-related processes, templates, and best practices.
  • Assistin the administration of compliance programs, including the Code of Conduct, Supplier Code of Conduct, and related policies and procedures.
  • Support the intake, review, documentation, and tracking of concerns reported through the company’s ethics helpline and other reporting channels.
  • Conduct fact gathering andassistwith internal investigations, documentation, and follow-up activities as directed.
  • Monitor regulatory and compliance developments andassistwith risk assessments and compliance-related projects.
  • Identifypotential legal and compliance risks and escalateto senior legal team members asappropriate.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and provide legal support to other areas within the Employment, Litigation, and GRC function as needed.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Experience
  • 10+ years of experience as an attorneyadvisingorganizations on labor and employment matters, preferably with a combination of law firm and in-house experience.
  • Experienceprovidingpractical legal advice on employment-related matters, including employee relations, workplace investigations, policy interpretation, compliance, and employment litigation.
  • Experience supporting Human Resources and business stakeholders on employment law issues.
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment-related agreements, policies, and related documentation.
  • Experience supporting litigation matters, administrative agency charges, internal investigations, and outside counsel management.
  • Experience withemployment law considerations in organizational changes, workforce restructurings, or business transactions.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders across multiple functions and geographic regions preferred.
  • Knowledge of global employment law concepts and multinational work environments is a plus.
  • Licensed to practice law in Mexico.

  • Mustwork on-site in theCiudad Juarez, Mexico or Troy, Michiganoffice, travel occasionally as needed, and collaborate across multiple time zones.
  • Fluent in Englishand Spanish.
