AgileEngine is seeking an Elixir Engineer to join a growing platform. You will build, maintain, and improve the software using Elixir within a small team and collaborate with product managers to translate user problems into effective technical solutions.

The role requires 2+ years of professional software development, strong Elixir/Erlang experience, and a deep understanding of functional programming. Based in Latin America with overlap with the Austin team, with some travel possible.

Formación

• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Elixir and/or Erlang.
• Strong understanding of functional programming principles.
• Professional experience building and maintaining production web applications.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Experience designing, consuming, or maintaining APIs and service integrations.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals and modern development practices.
• Ability to independently own and deliver engineering tasks.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Comfortable working across different areas of a product.

Responsabilidades

• Build, maintain, and improve the software platform using Elixir.
• Collaborate with product managers to translate user problems into technical solutions.
• Take ownership of development work from requirements through delivery.
• Build and maintain integrations with internal and external services and APIs.
• Work with PostgreSQL and the data layer of the application.
• Write reliable, maintainable, well-tested production code.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the application.
• Contribute to platform evolution and engineering practices as the product grows.
• Communicate progress and tradeoffs clearly with the team.
