AgileEngine is seeking an Elixir Engineer to join a small team building and scaling a growing platform. You will write production-grade Elixir code, integrate services, and collaborate with product managers to solve real user problems.

Based in Latin America with strong overlap with Austin, Texas, you’ll work flexibly in a distributed environment. This full-time role offers growth, mentorship, and exposure to modern tech like PostgreSQL and APIs.

Formación

• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Elixir and/or Erlang.
• Strong understanding of functional programming principles.
• Experience building and maintaining production web applications.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Experience designing, consuming, or maintaining APIs and service integrations.
• Ability to independently own and deliver engineering tasks.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Comfortable working across different areas of a product.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsabilidades

• Build, maintain, and improve the software platform using Elixir.
• Collaborate closely with product managers to understand user problems and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Take ownership of development work from requirements and problem definition through implementation and delivery.
• Build and maintain integrations with internal and external services and APIs.
• Write reliable, well-tested production code.
• Contribute to the evolution of the platform and engineering practices as the product grows.
