The Hershey Company in Monterrey is seeking an Electronic Engineer PLC to provide hands-on technical support for plant control systems, collaborating with maintenance, operations, engineering, quality and safety teams. You will troubleshoot and program PLCs, HMIs, VFDs and SCADA, drive continuous improvement, document actions, and ensure equipment reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• 2+ years of relevant experience in industrial automation and controls.
• Experience with Siemens and Allen‑Bradley PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, or automation networks preferred.
• Knowledge of safety, quality, and environmental standards in food manufacturing is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Troubleshoot, repair, and prevent plant electronic and control-system failures across operations.
• Program, modify, integrate, and maintain PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, SCADA, and robotic networks.
• Analyze equipment performance, document root causes, and maintain backups and failure databases.
• Size and specify control and electrical components; support calibrations for level, flow, pressure, and temperature instruments.
• Collaborate with project engineers on upgrades, obsolescence plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Create clear technical documentation and communicate shift handoffs to teams and suppliers.

How will you fit in the big picture?

As an Electronic Engineer PLC, you will provide hands‑on technical support for plant control systems and partner across maintenance, operations, engineering, quality, and safety. You will help keep equipment reliable, improve productivity, and advance continuous improvement projects in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

What will you do?

• Troubleshoot, repair, and prevent electronic, electrical, instrumentation, and control‑system failures across plant operations.
• Program, modify, integrate, and maintain PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo and motion‑control systems, SCADA, robots, metal detectors, and industrial communication networks.
• Analyze equipment performance and operating sequences, document root causes and corrective actions, and maintain current program backups and failure databases.
• Specify and size control, measurement, and electrical components; support calibrations for level, flow, pressure, and temperature instruments.
• Partner with project engineers and cross‑functional teams on upgrades, obsolescence plans, new technologies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Create clear technical documentation, communicate shift handoffs, and provide responsive service to internal teams and external suppliers.

Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience supporting industrial automation and controls, including PLC programming and troubleshooting. Experience with Siemens and Allen‑Bradley PLCs, HMI platforms, industrial networks, VFDs, instrumentation, robotics, or SCADA is required. Food manufacturing experience and familiarity with applicable safety, quality, and environmental standards are preferred. Ability to provide off‑shift support as business needs require.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Automation and Control Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering, or a related automation and controls field.
