HCLTech is seeking a Controls & Automation Engineer to drive digitalization across manufacturing operations in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. You will design, program, integrate, and optimize automation systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency, reliability and data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities include PLC programming, HMI development, vision systems integration, data visualization, and documentation.

Formación

• Experience with Allen Bradley PLC programming.
• Knowledge of Ladder Logic programming.
• Experience with HMI development and configuration.
• Hands-on experience with Cognex Vision Systems and computer vision.
• Strong understanding of Industrial PC (IPC) and PLC control architectures.
• Experience in manufacturing automation environments.
• Familiarity with real-time data visualization and monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Develop, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC applications using Allen Bradley tools and Ladder Logic.
• Design and configure HMIs to enhance operator interaction and process visibility.
• Implement and support Cognex Vision Systems for inspection and automation processes.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and IT teams to identify digital transformation opportunities.
• Analyze manufacturing data, identify trends and anomalies, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Ensure reliable communication between shop-floor equipment and enterprise systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine controls, automation systems, and digital manufacturing technologies.
• Develop technical documentation, system configurations, operating procedures, and project specifications.

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls & Automation Engineer to drive digitalization initiatives across manufacturing operations. This role will be responsible for designing, programming, integrating, and optimizing automation systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency, reliability, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the integration, configuration, and programming of Allen Bradley PLCs to support manufacturing equipment and automated production systems.
• Develop, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC applications using Allen Bradley programming tools and Ladder Logic.
• Design and configure Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) to enhance operator interaction and process visibility.
• Implement and support Cognex Vision Systems and computer vision technologies for inspection and automation processes.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and IT teams to identify digital transformation opportunities and process improvements.
• Analyze manufacturing data, identify trends and anomalies, and provide actionable recommendations to improve performance and productivity.
• Support secure and reliable communication between shop-floor equipment and enterprise systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine controls, automation systems, PLC programming, and digital manufacturing technologies.
• Develop technical documentation, system configurations, operating procedures, and project specifications.

Required Qualifications

• Experience with Allen Bradley PLC Programming
• Knowledge of Ladder Logic Programming
• Experience with HMI Development and Configuration
• Hands‑on experience with Cognex Vision Systems and computer vision applications
• Strong understanding of Industrial PC (IPC) and PLC Control Architectures
