Job summary

ABB en Apodaca, Nuevo León, busca un Ingeniero de Proyectos Senior para liderar la autoridad de diseño en una disciplina de ingeniería de baja a media complejidad. Trabajarás en varios proyectos pequeños garantizando calidad, seguridad y cumplimiento de especificaciones contractuales.

La función es en sitio, dentro del negocio de Electrificación, aportando experiencia en fabricación y pruebas de tableros LV, interruptores y paneles, con enfoque práctico y aprendizaje continuo.

Qualifications

• Título en ingeniería eléctrica, mecánica o mecatrónica.
• Al menos 2 años en puestos similares.
• Inglés avanzado requerido para el rol.

Responsibilities

• Actuar como autoridad de diseño para una disciplina de ingeniería.
• Desarrollar y entregar proyectos en pequeñas o medianas escalas dentro del presupuesto.
• Garantizar que los diseños cumplan especificaciones, calidad, seguridad y políticas de ciberseguridad.
• Cooperar con funciones relevantes para manufactura, pruebas, montaje e puesta en marcha.
• Formar a colegas y traducir diseños conceptuales a documentación técnica.

Senior Project Engineer

Your Role And Responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on multiple small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring assignments are completed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements and cybersecurity policies and standards.

The work model for this role is: On site

This role is contributing to the Electrification Business, based in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon.

You Will Be Mainly Accountable For

• Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments.
• Working customers to shape and deliver solutions while seeking customer feedback to drive and deliver improvements.
• Creating work plans and cost estimates for the portfolio of projects and ensuring quality, timely implementation within the targeted budget.
• Coordinating with relevant functions to ensure that designs are appropriately manufactured / staged, tested, installed, and commissioned.
• Coaching engineering colleagues translating of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, best practices, and lessons learned from past projects.
• Performing design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines.

Qualifications For The Role (Mandatory)

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
• 2+ years of experience in similar positions.
• Advanced English is required for this role.
• Knowledge in electrical and mechanical drawings develop and interpretation.
• Experience in EPLAN, AutoCAD, CREO, and Solidworks.
• Experience working with LV switchboards, switchgear, MCC or panelboards.
• You are passionate about hands-on learning, problem-solving, taking initiative, being curious, and contributing to the manufacturing process.
