ABB seeks a Senior Project Manager for electrical projects based in San Pedro, Nuevo León, Mexico. The role works in a hybrid model within the Marketing & Sales Organization and collaborates with Sales Managers, Project Managers, and ABB customers.

You will translate customer needs into detailed project plans, drive internal execution, and manage multiple electrical projects at various sites in the US, ensuring on-time delivery and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic, or a related engineering field.
• 5+ years of experience as a project manager in electrical, automotive, or manufacturing industries.
• Knowledge of Salesforce, SAP (ERP), and Microsoft Project.

• Offers technical advice and comments on specifications for customers/channels/Sales Engineers regarding ABB products/systems/applications.

• Serves as primary customer contact for each project, coordinating with staff and resolving issues to ensure satisfaction.
• Prepares and delivers technical presentations and demonstrations for internal staff and customers on complex product issues; assembles required documentation.
• Offers product/solution/service-related training to customers and stakeholders.
• Prepares and checks technical documents for submittal to customers.

Your role and responsibilities

The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid This role is contributing to the Marketing & Sales Organization in San Pedro, Nuevo Leon. Main stakeholders are Sales Managers, Project Managers & ABB customers.

• Offers technical advice and provides comment on specifications for customers/channels/Sales Engineers regarding ABB products/systems/applications.
• Translate customer needs / requirements into detailed project plans while driving internal execution to meet project targets and on time delivery.
• Plans and implements multiple simultaneous electrical projects at various customer work sites in the US. Identifies and manages opportunities to expand projects in ways that bring value to our customer and satisfy profitability requirements, including change orders. Electrical projects will be focused in the commercial construction markets and may include, but are not limited to, retail, airports, entertainment, hospitals, education (schools, colleges, universities), multi-story residential and water/waste-water treatment plants.
• Serves as the primary customer contact for the duration of each project. May commission, resolve specification issues, handle correspondence, provide periodic updates, ensure customer satisfaction, and negotiate/coordinate with staff as appropriate.
• Prepares and delivers technical presentations and demonstrations for both internal staff and customers on complex product issues. Assemble and customize contractually required documentation at the onset and end of a project.
• Offers product/solution/service-related training to customers and other stakeholders.
• Prepares and checks technical documents for submittal to customers.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic, or a related engineering field.
• 5+ years of experience as a project manager in the electrical, automotive, or manufacturing industries.
• Knowledge of Salesforce, SAP (ERP), and Microsoft Project.
• PMP certification is a plus.
• Experience managing 15+ simultaneous projects (involving low-voltage products and construction projects for schools, hospitals, etc.).
• Experience managing stakeholder relationships (interacting with clients and external parties).
• Knowledge and application of ABB products; ability to read electrical and single-line diagrams.
• Customer care, automation, and process improvement skills; ability to interface and build strong relationships with customers and management.
• Advanced English proficiency required for the role.
