SSOE Group seeks a Mid-level Electrical Designer to design, develop, and implement electrical systems for advanced facilities. You’ll work with distribution panels, short circuit analysis, and voltage drop calculations, creating Revit models and construction documents for global clients.

Strong BIM coordination and knowledge of NEC/IEC standards are required, with a hybrid work model and growth opportunities.

Formación

  • Engineering bachelor’s degree in electrical-related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience as an electrical designer.
  • Experience in Revit for electrical modeling and BIM coordination.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with ETAP/SKM/EasyPower is a plus.

Responsabilidades

  • Develop detailed electrical design drawings for power distribution, switchgear lineups, lighting, grounding, and protection systems.
  • Create and maintain Revit models for electrical systems within BIM environment.
  • Produce construction documents, electrical plans, panel schedules, and diagrams per client standards.
  • Coordinate BIM across disciplines and resolve clashes using Navisworks.
  • Ensure BIM models follow execution plans and company standards.
  • Perform conduit/conductor sizing and assess cable tray fills.

We are seeking for skilled Mid-level Electrical Designers to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will engage in the designing, developing, and implementing of cutting-edge electrical systems for state-of-the-art industrial and high-tech manufacturing facilities serving global leaders in technology. As an Electrical Designer at SSOE, you will have a foundation in electrical design, focusing on low to medium voltage environments. The ideal candidate possesses experience with distribution panel loading, short circuit analysis, voltage drop calculations, conduit and conductor sizing, and cable tray fills. Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed electrical design drawings and technical documentation for power distribution systems, including switchgear lineups, lighting layouts, grounding and lightning protection systems.
  • Create and maintain Revit models for electrical systems, ensuring accurate representation of power distribution, lighting, grounding, and associated electrical components within the building information model.
  • Utilize Revit to produce construction documents, electrical plans, panel schedules, and system diagrams that meet project requirements and client standards.
  • Participate in BIM coordination efforts, including multi-discipline clash detection and resolution using tools such as Navisworks, collaborating with Mechanical, Structural, Architectural, and other discipline teams to ensure design integrity.
  • Maintain BIM model quality and consistency by adhering to project BIM execution plans, company Revit standards, and established modeling best practices.
  • Determine conduit, conductor, and wire sizing, meticulously accounting for current loads and environmental variables.
  • Assess cable tray fills methodically to guarantee proper cable management, organization, and future scalability.
  • Perform detailed short circuit calculations to accurately determine fault currents, select appropriate protective devices, and ensure system safety and reliability.
  • Perform precise voltage drop calculations to ensure electrical system stability and compliance with industry standards.
  • Ensure all electrical designs strictly adhere to pertinent local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations.
  • Apply established electrical design techniques, such as load flow analysis and fault current calculations, and exercise discernment in adapting and modifying design concepts as needed. Uphold quality control by adhering to company and team electrical design standards and industry best practices.
  • Will work with other Designers, Sr. Engineers, Project Managers, and other stakeholders on specific assigned objectives, complex features, and aid in deriving possible solutions to unusual problems.
Qualifications
What You Will Bring
  • Engineering bachelor´s degree. (Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical, Renewable Energy Engineering or any related).
  • Two to Five (2 - 5) years of experience as Electrical designer.
  • Prior experience / training inRevit is required, with experience in electrical modeling, documentation, and BIM coordination workflows.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is preferred. Experience with other tools such as ETAP, SKM PowerTools, and/or EasyPower is a plus.
  • Ability to produce power distribution schematics, panel schedules, lighting and grounding plans, and other system diagrams aligned with industry standards and client criteria.
  • The ability to communicate digitally, verbally and in writing with local and international team members - fluency in English is required.
  • Proficient in interpreting electrical one-line diagrams, creating construction documents, and collaborating within multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Knowledge of U.S. electrical codes and standards (e.g., National Electric Code, NFPA, etc.) is required. Familiarity with IEC standards is a plus.
