SSOE Group seeks an Electrical Engineer to deliver quality electrical design for building and industrial projects in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary setting.

The role emphasizes coordinating with local and international teams, performing detailed electrical calculations, and developing technical specifications under supervision with growing responsibility. Hybrid work and robust employee benefits are provided.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Mexican professional license (Título y Cédula) required.
  • 2–5 years of directly related experience.
  • Working knowledge of electrical design fundamentals for building and industrial facilities; experience in low- and medium-voltage, lighting, and calculations is preferred.

Responsabilidades

  • Perform electrical calculations (load, short-circuit, voltage drop) using specialized tools.
  • Prepare and update technical specifications, load lists, and BOMs.
  • Model or review electrical designs in AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP/BIM for coordination with other disciplines.

Overview

Responsibilities

The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.

  • Perform s electrical calculations , such as load calculations, short-circuit, protection coordination, voltage drop, etc. , using specialized tools and spreadsheets , as assigned and based on the employee’s experience and project needs .
  • Prepare s and update s technical specifications, load lists, and equipment and material lists (BOM).
  • Model s and/or review s electrical design documents in AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM) to ensure proper coordination with other disciplines (mechanical, architectural, civil, etc.) , as assigned .
  • Address es comments from internal quality reviews (QA/QC) and from clients, making the necessary design adjustments.
  • Participate s in coordination meetings with local and international multidisciplinary teams supporting U.S. projects.
  • Develops and supports the review of low- and medium-voltage electrical designs for building and industrial/commercial facility projects (drawings, one-line diagrams, layouts, conduit routing, etc.), under appropriate supervision and with increasing responsibility based on demonstrated capability.
  • Support s bidding and construction -phase activities, including responding to RFIs, reviewing vendor and contractor submittals, and supporting clash resolution , with guidance appropriate to experience and assigned responsibility .
  • Support s the technical development of the electrical discipline on assigned projects, from conceptual phases through detailed design , with responsibility increasing based on experience, demonstrated capability, and project a ssignment .
  • Maintain s project documentation up to date in SSOE internal platforms and project management tools.
  • Coordinate s closely with project leaders, project managers, and discipline leads to ensure compliance with schedule and scope.
  • Contribute s to the continuous improvement of standards, templates, and best practices for the electrical discipline in the business unit.
Qualifications
What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor´s degree in E lectrical E ngineering, E lectromechanical E ngineering, E nergy E ngineering, or related field.
  • Professional license in Mexico is required (Título and Cédula Profesional).
  • Two to five ( 2 - 5 ) years of directly related experience
  • Working knowledge of electrical design fundamentals for building and industrial/commercial facility projects is required. Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: low- and medium-voltage power systems, lighting, load calculations, short-circuit analysis, protection coordination, voltage-drop calculations, AutoCAD, Revit MEP/BIM, and electrical-code application.
  • Candidates must demonstrate attention to quality, initiative, proactive problem-solving, and a willingness to learn.
  • The successful candidate will be a clear and effective communicator who takes ownership of assigned work, responds well to feedback, collaborates effectively with others, and demonstrates leadership through accountability, reliability, and a positive influence on the team.
  • Knowledge and application of electrical codes and standards applicable to building and facility projects (for example, NEC / NFPA 70, NOM-001-SEDE, NOM-STPS and other U.S. codes when applicable, as well as local regulations).
  • Proficient use of AutoCAD for drawing development and review is preferred .
  • Experience with Revit MEP/BIM (modeling or reviewing electrical models) is preferred .
  • Advanced English level
Desirable Skills
  • Proficiency with specialized electrical analysis software: ETAP, SKM Power Tools, EasyPower, DIALux, AGi32, or others as applicable.
  • Prior experience with industrial facilities or data centers
