SINBON MX in San Luis Potosí is seeking an EHS Specialist to support and coordinate Environmental, Health, and Safety activities and ensure regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes promoting a strong safety culture and maintaining a safe workplace for all employees.

Primary duties include investigating incidents, implementing risk-reduction improvements, monitoring EHS KPIs, coordinating emergency programs, and conducting induction training for staff and contractors.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering/health field and knowledge of NOM-STPS regulations.
• 3–5 years in Environmental, Health & Safety within manufacturing.
• Experience with EHS management systems and incident investigations.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, team oriented.

Responsabilidades

• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and unsafe conditions and follow up on corrective actions.
• Propose and implement improvements to reduce risks and strengthen safety culture.
• Monitor and report EHS KPIs and coordinate emergency prevention programs.
• Coordinate EHS induction training for new employees and contractors.
• Manage waste handling, hazardous/non-hazardous waste, and waste management providers.
• Prepare monthly EHS reports and ensure compliance with regulations.

SINBON MX is looking for an EHS Specialist to join our team in San Luis Potosí. The EHS Specialist will be responsible for supporting and coordinating Environmental, Health, and Safety activities, ensuring compliance with applicable legal requirements, promoting a strong safety culture, and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace for all employees.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and unsafe conditions, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Propose and implement improvements to reduce risks and strengthen the company's safety culture.
• Monitor and report Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Coordinate emergency prevention, preparedness, and response programs.
• Coordinate EHS induction training for new employees and contractors.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve EHS performance.
• Coordinate activities related to occupational health and medical services.
• Manage the follow-up of workplace accidents and occupational illness cases.
• Monitor the proper handling, storage, collection, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
• Follow up with authorized waste management providers and ensure proper waste management practices.
• Participate in waste reduction, recycling, and waste recovery programs.
• Monitor compliance with NOM-STPS standards and other applicable Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations.
• Prepare monthly EHS reports, presentations, and documentation for management.
• Inspect emergency equipment, fire extinguishers, alarms, and fire protection systems, ensuring proper functionality and compliance.
• Identify, evaluate, and monitor applicable legal requirements related to Environmental, Health, and Safety.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to EHS performance and compliance.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Management, or a related field.
• Master's degree is a plus.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Environmental, Health & Safety within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of NOM-STPS regulations and applicable Environmental, Health, and Safety legislation.
• Knowledge of EHS management systems and emergency response programs.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with workplace accident investigation and corrective/preventive actions.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive and professional attitude.
• Ability to work collaboratively with different departments and promote a strong safety culture.
