North American Production Sharing de México, S.A. de C.V. seeks a seasoned EHS leader to drive the plant's Safety, Health, and Environment programs. You will partner with all departments to integrate best practices and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role focuses on defining KPIs, managing the EHS budget, and leading audits and incident investigations to foster a culture of continuous safety improvement.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in an engineering field (industrial, mechanical, electromechanical, mechatronics or electrical).
• 5+ years in a managerial EHS role within manufacturing.
• Experience with Mexican environmental legislation and regulatory processes.
• Solid knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Experience in project management and execution.

Jobbeschreibung

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy and implementation of the plant’s Safety, Health, and Environment programs.
• Serve as a strategic partner to all departments at the plant to ensure the integration of best practices in environmental, health, and safety matters.
• Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, occupational health, and the environment.
• Develop and manage the department’s budget, as well as validate operating procedures and standards.
• Design, implement, audit, and improve environmental and safety management systems in accordance with current legislation and international standards.
• Represent the company before regulatory agencies, industry associations, and government authorities as required.
• Advise internal and external clients on issues related to safety, hygiene, and the environment.
• Develop, implement, and oversee risk prevention, industrial safety, and occupational hygiene programs.
• Coordinate and ensure compliance with the activities of the Health and Safety Committee.
• Keep emergency and contingency response plans up to date in coordination with the relevant authorities.
• Manage the acquisition and renewal of environmental and safety permits, licenses, and authorizations.
• Oversee the handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
• Evaluate and recommend the procurement of personal protective equipment, safety systems, and environmental control equipment.
• Administer asset protection, physical security, and access control programs as applicable.
• Lead the selection, training, development, and evaluation of the Safety, Health, and Environment team.
• Manage investigations of accidents, incidents, and occupational illnesses, identifying root causes and preventive actions.
• Analyze trends and accident rate indicators to establish strategies for risk reduction and cost control.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in safety at all levels of the organization

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Advanced English proficiency required (ability to lead meetings, deliver executive presentations, and collaborate with corporate staff and international clients).
• At least 5 years of experience in a managerial position within Safety, Health, and Environment at manufacturing companies.
• Experience with Mexican environmental legislation and environmental regulatory processes.
• Experience leading industrial safety and environmental activities on the factory floor.
• Solid knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Experience in project management and execution.
• Demonstrable experience driving cultural transformations in the areas of Safety, Health, and Environment (EHS).
• Experience in accident investigation, risk analysis, and the development of preventive programs.
• Experience in managing regulatory audits and certifications.

Desirable Technical Knowledge

• ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Environmental and safety regulations applicable in Mexico.
