Job summary

Aptiv PLC is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of workplace health and safety programs in Reynosa, Tamaulipas. The role focuses on reducing risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a proactive safety culture across the site.

The successful candidate will collaborate with leadership, medical services, and external agencies to maintain a safe and compliant work environment, with responsibilities

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in EHS roles within a manufacturing environment.
• Solid knowledge of occupational health and safety laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Experience implementing and maintaining ISO 45001-based management systems.
• Proven ability to lead safety programs and audits across functions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, monitor, and improve EHS programs and initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate health and safety requirements.
• Lead safety training and awareness programs for employees.
• Coordinate occupational medical surveillance programs with medical services.
• Manage internal and external health and safety audits and corrective actions.
• Develop and communicate EHS policies and guidelines throughout the organization.
• Partner with government agencies and industry associations on regulatory changes.
• Advise management on safety requirements for operations and new projects.
