Demant in the Tijuana site seeks an EHS & Maintenance Manager to lead the Safety, Health, Environment and Security programs and maintenance operations. You will collaborate with Global Operations and report to the Site General Manager.

The role requires 5+ years in related management, bilingual Spanish/English, and a strong knowledge of maintenance and EH&S compliance. You will oversee budgeting, vendor selections, and regulatory adherence to improve safety and efficiency.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a related field in a management position.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) with advanced English proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Implement and monitor Injury and Illness Prevention program and environmental assessments.
• Manage Safety, Health, Environment and Security compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Lead maintenance program including budgeting, PM schedules and vendor evaluation.
• Oversee capital projects, equipment installation, and facility expansion with cost efficiency in mind.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and conduct ergonomic evaluations and corrective actions.

About the Role

As the EHS & Maintenance Manager for the Tijuana Site, you will collaborate closely with the Global Operations team, and you will play a crucial role in developing and executing EH&S and Maintenance initiatives that align with the Tijuana Site business objectives. You will lead the EH&S and Maintenance team reporting in solid line with the Site General Manager. Hence, this role requires broad experience from various disciplines of Operations combined with a strong knowledge of Maintenance and EH&S Regulatory Compliance. In summary, you will be responsible for the following:

Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the Injury and Illness Prevention program, Risk

and Environmental Assessments, Management of Change and all other activities that contribute to the Safety, Health, Environment and Security compliance with all federal, state, and related safety

regulations.

Helps on major products such as expansion of facilities, acquisition and installation of

capital equipment, major repairs and overhauls, plant layout changes, and other related matters to the best economic advantage and schedule.

Formulates and implements an effective preventative maintenance program for process equipment and

plant operating systems (i.e. fire, heating, air conditioning, and utilities) that include annual PM

calendar, procedures, logbooks and document control.

Provides technical knowledge and expertise to solve problems of a mechanical, electrical, or

hydraulic/pneumatic nature.

Responsible for the administration and tracking of internal EHS Metrics. Responsible for the supervision of the implementation, control, measurement, monitoring and follow up of the Safety, Health, Environmental and Security Programs and Policies, Injury and Illness Prevention, Risk and Environmental Assessments. Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations in regard to air, water and chemicals. Responsible for supervising Ergonomic evaluations and follow up of corrective and Preventive actions resulting from the evaluations. Responsible for vendor evaluation for the different services and equipment required by the EHS area. Create and execute budget according to company strategy, prepares periodic or special reports on

manufacturing costs, causes of variances, machine and tooling cost data, anticipated cost reductions and savings, and related matters for management information and analysis.

Adhere to Company safety and environment rules and report all incident/accidents and unsafe or unsecure acts. Comply with the Federal Labor Law and the Internal Labor Regulations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in related field in a Management Position Bilingual (Spanish/ English) Level of English: Advanced (Reading and Writing that allow fluid Presentations and/or Participation in Negotiation Processes). Desirable master’s degree and/or Specialized Training in applicable trade skills and project management.
