Job summary

Micron Technology in Mexico is seeking a DRAM Product Engineer (Intern) to support product ramps, validate designs, and optimize test flows with manufacturing for yield and quality improvements.

The role interfaces with Technology Development, Design, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance to ensure smooth communication and coordination across departments. Final year Electrical/Computer Engineering students are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated team player with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Basic understanding of DRAM architecture and operation.
• Good understanding of digital circuit concepts.
• Knowledge of CMOS transistor operation.
• Experience with Python, C++, or C.
• Familiarity with Linux/UNIX.
• Good verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or yield analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support new product introduction by partnering with design, manufacturing, and yield teams for DRAM ramps, including simulations, forecasting, and documentation.
• Analyze silicon data, perform failure analysis, and drive root cause identification and corrective actions to improve yield and quality.
• Develop and maintain yield tracking systems (paretos), identify improvement opportunities, and prioritize actions to meet targets.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with Product, Test, QA, and Manufacturing teams to align on objectives, timelines and quality expectations.
• Deliver technical presentations, analyze trends and data, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across product and process performance.
