Saltu Staffing seeks a Director-level leader to establish and run a Latin America business applications organization. You will build a regional team spanning Salesforce, Workday, and integrations, acting as the primary technology partner to Finance, with remote work and monthly onsite in Mexico City.
You will partner with US leaders to align roadmaps, own delivery health, and drive global standards while leading hiring and shaping the future regional presence.
Experience Level: Director level; 12+ years in enterprise applications with 5+ years leading teams (level flexible - see Senior Manager variant)
Location: Remote (Mexico / Latin America) with monthly onsite presence in Mexico City
Employment Type: Contract-to-hire (6-12 months, then conversion); direct hire considered
Language: Fluent English (written and verbal) required; Spanish
Our client, a global technology company, is establishing a Latin America business applications organization and is seeking a Director to lead it. Reporting directly to the executive who owns enterprise applications, you will build and lead a regional team spanning Salesforce, Workday, integration, and related platforms, and act as the primary technology partner to the Finance organization. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who speaks finance fluently, is comfortable sitting in the weeds with finance and operations teams, and can also represent the region with executive presence. The Director path involves a rigorous selection process; candidates who are not yet director-ready but show strong growth potential may be considered for a high-ceiling Senior Manager role on the same team.
This is a remote-first position open to candidates based in Mexico or elsewhere in Latin America. Candidates must be able to work onsite in Mexico City at least once per month, and to attend quarterly in-person team events there. Candidates based in Mexico (Mexico City preferred) are prioritized for roles on the full-time conversion track; candidates elsewhere in Latin America are welcome for contract engagements. Legal authorization to work in the country of residence is required.
The client is building a long-term Latin America engineering and applications presence, and these roles are foundational hires for that team. The preferred structure is contract-to-hire: an initial contract engagement of six to twelve months, followed by conversion to a permanent role for successful contributors. Direct full-time placement and longer-term independent contractor arrangements can be considered case by case. Compensation is competitive and based on seniority and skill set. Funding and headcount are approved, and start dates are immediate for candidates who are ready.
You will work day to day with US-based stakeholders and distributed teams in multiple regions, so fluent professional English and meaningful overlap with US business hours are required.
You are equally comfortable in a finance close review and an architecture discussion. You lead through clarity and accountability, set a high bar for quality, and build teams people want to join. You can operate at the executive level while staying close enough to the work to know what is really happening.
