Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking an SAP Support Leader to oversee the SAP landscape, ensuring stability and continuous improvement. The role combines technical depth with strategic vendor management and business-facing communication in a hybrid setting in Mexico City.

You will drive operational excellence in FI/CO, security, and compliance, while partnering with key Finance users and external vendors. Fluency in English is required; Spanish is a plus.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or engineering degree required with strong SAP financial domain knowledge.
• Minimum 3 years operating a SAP landscape with FI/CO and production support.
• Experience managing SAP vendors in outsourcing or staff augmentation models.
• Advanced English; Spanish a plus.

Job Title: SAP Support Leader / Modality

Position Type: Full-time

Modality: Hybrid — 3 days/week onsite in Mexico City (office location to be defined)

About Company and the role context

Company is undergoing a transformation of its IT area toward an integrated and proactive model, where IT acts as a strategic business partner. Within this transformation, the team supporting the SAP platform requires a leader with a hybrid profile: someone who combines technical-functional depth in SAP with the real ability to manage strategic vendors and communicate with high-level business users.

Mission of the role

Ensure the stable operation and evolution of the complete SAP landscape at Company, guaranteeing operational continuity, compliance with service levels with strategic vendors (SAP, Client, Actualize, Kyriba, EAS), and delivery of visible value to the business. The Finance domain concentrates the most critical and recurring processes, thus receiving priority focus, without losing visibility or control over the rest of the landscape modules.

What the person in this role will do

• Lead the operation and support of the SAP landscape — manage incidents, minor requests, and changes across all modules in production, ensuring continuity of business processes.
• Prioritize Finance as a critical domain — since financial processes (FI/CO, accounting integrations, closing, treasury, taxes) are the most critical and highest volume of incidents, maintain reinforced operational and communication focus in that area.
• Manage strategic vendors — SAP, Client, Actualize, Kyriba, and cloud infrastructure partners. Verify deliverables, monitor SLAs, escalation when required, and maintain a productive and demanding relationship.
• Be the visible face of the SAP team to the business — interact directly with key Finance users (priority) and other business areas operating on SAP, translating needs into solutions and communicating status clearly.
• Ensure SLA and control compliance — define, monitor, and report service indicators; maintain traceability and regulatory compliance in SAP security.
• Drive continuous improvement — document solutions, identify optimization opportunities in the landscape, and propose adjustments that reduce recurring incidents.

Profile we are looking for

Mandatory (must-have)

• Academic background: Bachelor’s degree or Engineering degree completed (preferably in Systems, IT, Finance, Accounting, or related fields).
• SAP experience (minimum 3 years): proven experience operating a SAP landscape in production, with strong mastery of financial modules (FI/CO), both in configuration and support.
• Key user and business management (minimum 3 years): interacting with areas such as Accounting, Treasury, Taxes, FP&A; demonstrated ability to translate between technical and financial language.
• Vendor management (minimum 3 years): real experience managing SAP vendors in outsourcing / staff augmentation models — not just “working with” vendors, but demanding, evaluating deliverables, and managing SLAs.
• SAP Security knowledge: roles, profiles, segregation of duties, coordination with BASIS.
• Applied ITIL: incident, problem, and change management.
• Languages: English advanced (reading, writing, speaking). Spanish is a plus.

Desirable (nice-to-have)

• Master’s degree or postgraduate studies (MBA, specialization in IT, Finance, or Project Management).
• Exposure to other SAP landscape modules besides FI/CO (MM, SD, HCM, etc.).
• Previous experience in the retail or sectors with high transactional volume.
• Knowledge of S/4HANA or experience in migrations.
• SAP certifications in financial modules.
• Experience working with Client, EAS, or other large-scale SAP integrators.

What we are NOT looking for

• Purely technical profiles without exposure to business users.
• Functional consultants who have not operated in critical production environments.
• Profiles that depend 100% on the vendor to solve issues — we are looking for someone who knows how to challenge and direct the vendor.

Working conditions

• Location: India (specific city to be defined; no travel required).
• Modality: onsite 3 days/week, hybrid the rest.
• Availability: occasional after-hours for critical incidents (aligned with global operations if needed).
