Job summary

The LEGO Group in Monterrey, Mexico, is seeking a Director of Regional Security to lead security operations across LATAM. You will oversee strategy, risk management, crisis preparedness, and vendor partnerships, while guiding a team of security professionals protecting people and assets.

Based at our manufacturing site in Cienega de Flores, NL, you will drive regional security programs, collaborate with Global Security Leadership, and deliver security projects aligned with global standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience in corporate security and leadership within a global, multicultural setting.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage security programs across regions.
  • Strong skills in risk assessment, crisis management, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Advanced English proficiency required for regional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop regional security team with focus on capability building.
  • Oversee day-to-day security operations across LATAM with budget and KPI oversight.
  • Manage outsourced security providers and partnerships for cost efficiency and quality.
  • Drive risk assessment programs to protect LEGO assets, facilities, IP, and staff.
  • Ensure security systems meet global standards and certification requirements.
  • Direct investigations related to theft, fraud, and loss prevention in coordination with Legal and HR.
  • Lead crisis management, emergency response planning, and business continuity initiatives.
  • Coordinate crisis response activities and maintain stakeholder alignment.
  • Provide security expertise across executive protection, travel security, and security assessments.

In this critical leadership role, you will oversee security strategy, risk management, crisis preparedness, and operational excellence while leading a team of security professionals dedicated to protecting our people and business.
Core Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop regional security team, ensuring strong engagement, capability building, and continuous professional development.
  • Manage day-to-day security operations across the LATAM region, ensuring compliance with global standards, budgets, KPIs, and audit requirements.
  • Oversee outsourced security providers and vendor partnerships, ensuring performance, quality, and cost effectiveness.
  • Drive regional risk assessment and business impact analysis programs to protect LEGO assets, facilities, intellectual property, and employees.
  • Ensure security systems and infrastructure operate in accordance with global security standards and certification requirements.
  • Lead the delivery of security projects, installations, and expansion while coordinating internal and external stakeholders.
  • Direct investigations related to theft, fraud, and loss prevention, partnering with Legal, People Operations & Development, site leadership, and external authorities.
  • Lead regional crisis management preparedness, emergency response planning, and business continuity initiatives.
  • Activate and coordinate crisis response activities during incidents and emergencies, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder alignment.
  • Provide security expertise across executive protection, event security, travel security, fraud investigations, and specialized security assessments.

  • As Director of Regional Security, LATAM you will lead a team of security professionals supporting operations across the LATAM region, including major facilities in Monterrey, Mexico, as well as offices in Mexico City and Brazil. You will also be a key member of the Global Security Leadership Team, contributing to the long-term security strategy and collaborating with colleagues across regions and the Security Excellence Center.
Do You Have What It Takes?
  • People leadership experience.
  • Proven experience within a corporate security environment, preferably supporting manufacturing or operational sites.
  • Experience working within international and multicultural organizations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise conducting risk assessments and designing security solutions.
  • Experience with access control and CCTV systems, ideally Genetec.
  • Experience leading crisis management and emergency response programs.
  • Advanced English language proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing outsourced security contracts and service providers.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience supporting digital transformation initiatives.
  • Exposure to construction or site expansion projects.
  • Knowledge of supply chain security regulations and customs security programs such as CTPAT.

Note: This position is based in our manufacturing factory located in Cienega de Flores, N.L. This is not a remote position.
