LEGO Group in Monterrey is seeking a Construction Safety Manager to lead safety practices across active sites, ensuring compliance with local regulations and LEGO standards. You will develop and enforce safety policies, manage risk, and drive training programs to embed a strong safety culture.

Ideal candidates have hands-on construction safety experience, knowledge of ISO 45001, and strong English communication skills.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Safety, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong proven experience in construction safety within large-scale, high-risk projects such as manufacturing plants, factories, or complex sites.
  • Hands-on experience managing safety on active construction sites with contractors and site personnel.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Experience conducting site safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations and maintaining safety records.

Job Description

_ A _ re you a passionate safety professional looking to hold a critical role within LEGO’s Global Workplace Projects team?

Take the chance to drive the safety culture within the LEGO Group and deliver projects safely, in line with local safety regulations and LEGO standards in LEGO Manufacturing Monterrey.

No relocation assistance is offered for this position.

Core Responsibilities
  • Supervise health and safety practices across construction sites, taking charge of developing and enforcing local safety policies.

  • Support the development of a safety management system that incorporates safety policies and standards, with an emphasis on risk management and incident control.

  • Plan and implement safety training programs for personnel in risk prevention and safety procedures.

  • Conduct safety inspections and audits to assess risk and ensure compliance with safety standards.

  • Identify potential hazards on construction sites and take corrective actions.

  • Coordinate and conduct accident and incident investigations, determine root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

  • Maintain documentation of safety inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.

  • Communicate with project managers, contractors, and construction workers to inform them of applicable safety regulations and potential hazards.

  • Promote a culture of safety among the workforce by fostering an environment where safety procedures are followed diligently.

  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders across key business areas.

  • Ensure adherence to local safety regulations and legislative requirements at all times.

GWP (Global Workplace Projects) is a global department managing end-to-end construction processes, enabling capacity growth within the LEGO Group. The main area of focus covers production site expansion and major building modifications across several locations worldwide.

Construction Safety Managers play a critical role in our construction projects. They are responsible for advising and guiding our project teams so they can deliver projects safely, in line with local safety regulations and LEGO standards.

Do You Have What It Takes?
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Safety, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong proven experience in construction safety within large-scale, high-risk projects , such as manufacturing plants, factories, commercial buildings, malls, or similar complex construction environments.

  • Hands-on experience managing safety on active construction sites , including working closely with contractors, subcontractors, project teams, and site personnel.

  • Strong knowledge of construction health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.

  • Proven experience identifying construction hazards, conducting risk assessments, and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.

  • Experience conducting site safety inspections, audits, incident investigations, and maintaining accurate safety records and reporting.

  • Knowledge of ISO 4501 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems) and related safety management systems.

  • Ability to effectively advise, challenge, and influence contractors and project teams to ensure safe working practices and compliance with safety requirements.

  • Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with safety management software is a plus.

  • Experience working in, or with, international or multinational companies.

  • Advanced oral and written English proficiency.

  • Excellent English communication and advisory skills
