Job summary

Parker Hannifin in Mexico is seeking a Materials Planner to ensure timely procurement of direct materials for manufacturing, balancing cost, quality, and inventory while maintaining production continuity. You will coordinate with Planning, Production, Engineering, and Quality, manage supplier performance, and ensure compliance with purchasing policies and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or business administration.
• 2–4 years experience in procurement or supply chain roles.
• Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems (SAP/JDE or similar).
• Knowledge of cost analysis, BOMs and inventory control.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specs.
• Understanding of Incoterms and domestic/international logistics.
• Advanced Excel skills; APICS CPIM desirable.

Responsibilities

• Procure direct materials and manage warehouse and planning inputs to avoid line stoppages.
• Monitor MRP requirements, purchase orders and delivery schedules.
• Negotiate terms, lead times and supplier agreements.
• Collaborate with Planning, Production, Engineering, Quality and Warehouse.
• Ensure compliance with specs, quality standards and safety regulations.
• Manage inventory levels and minimize obsolescence.
• Evaluate suppliers via audits and scorecards; handle claims.
• Adhere to purchasing policies and Parker ethics.
