A leading defense and engineering firm seeks a Shipwright/Insulator to maintain and repair vessels and craft. Responsibilities include performing preventive and corrective maintenance, assisting with carpentry tasks, and managing fiberglass structures. Candidates should have experience in ship repair or carpentry, possess strong skills in blueprint reading, and be familiar with Power tools. A high school diploma and vocational training related to carpentry are required, along with the ability to pass medical screenings.

• Three years of experience as a Shipwright in Naval Ship Repair or commercial shipyards.

DG BOSS: Shipwright/Insulator (FN) page is loaded## DG BOSS: Shipwright/Insulator (FN)locations: Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territorytime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R2118494**Title:**DG BOSS: Shipwright/Insulator (FN)* Responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of vessel or craft and industrial plant equipment cognizant to A-06 Port Operations and all related marine carpentry works, marine insulation work, including but not limited to:* a) Fabrication and installation of docking blocks, cradles, support structures and shoring in accordance with docking plan, blueprint or sample as work guide, and attends dry-docking of boats and crafts, assisting Dock Master in centering of vessel during dry-docking evolution.* b) Carpentry or wood-workings associated in the repair and fabrication of miscellaneous structures in the facility.
