Job summary

Ford Mexico is seeking a skilled Inventory & Planning Specialist to optimize plant inventory levels and standardize planning parameters across systems. You will use PFEP, KPIs, and digital tools to prevent shortages and drive data-driven decisions.

The role collaborates with Plants and MP&L teams to eliminate waste, implement corrective actions, and enhance supply chain performance using Lean and advanced analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 3+ years in supply chain, material planning, inventory control or logistics analysis.
• Knowledge of MRP/ERP logic and planning modules (SAP, CMMS/SMART, DDL).
• Strong command of Microsoft Office and data tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and monitor DOH/BOH, inventory turnover to meet targets.
• Identify slow-moving and obsolete stock; define corrective actions.
• Collaborate with plants to optimize inventory and risk mitigation.
• Use Lean DNA, BI dashboards to spot shortages before line disruptions.
• Lead PFEP reviews: safety stock, min/max, order intervals, batch sizes.
• Apply Lean and FPS to reduce waste in material flow and track KPIs.
• Drive Kaizen and 8D problem-solving for inventory issues.
• Promote digital inventory tools and data-driven decision making.
• Develop, automate and publish KPI dashboards on shortage risk trends.
