Job summary

Carrier is seeking an HVAC Commodity Manager – Data Center in Mexico to develop and execute sourcing strategies for critical HVAC and chiller components, ensuring a resilient supply base for data center applications.

You will lead RFQs, supplier negotiations, and NPI support across cross-functional teams; candidates should have 5+ years in strategic sourcing, SAP ERP, and bilingual English/Spanish, with a background in HVAC or related fields.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years in Strategic Sourcing, Commodity/Category Management, or direct materials procurement.
Experience with RFQs, supplier selection, negotiations, and supplier performance.
Cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Planning.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute sourcing/commodity strategies for HVAC and related components for Data Center applications.
Lead RFQs, supplier selection, negotiations, and Total Cost of Ownership analysis.
Develop, qualify and manage suppliers, including localization and supply-risk mitigation.
Collaborate with Engineering and cross-functional teams to support NPI, BOM, and supplier readiness.
Manage supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, and lead times.
Support aftermarket requirements and long lead-time components.
