Valmont Industries, Inc. is seeking aInventory Control Specialist to ensure accuracy of warehouse and plant inventory balances. The role maintains cycle count programs, performs root cause analysis, creates accuracy reports, and drives corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy and reduce material handling costs.

You will work with cross-functional teams on Lean initiatives and use ERP/MRP tools to monitor inventory and support production efficiency.

Formación

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Engineering or Business degree or related field.
• Min. 1–3 years in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
• Advanced mathematical skills.
• Knowledge of plant receiving and materials movement processes.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel) and able to use plant IT programs.
• Demonstrated root cause analysis skills.

Responsabilidades

• Management and maintenance of the cycle count process per standard work, including selection of parts to be counted, cycle count method, reconciliation of counts to perpetual records, root cause analysis for errors, and process changes to reach 98%+ inventory accuracy.
• Responding to on-demand cycle count requests generated from plant operations.
• Actively participate on cross-functional teams related to improving inventory flow and accuracy (Lean Manufacturing).
• Continually strive to improve Materials Management processes (Cycle Counting, Kanban, and Audits).
• Solve process issues by interacting with appropriate departments.
• Use MRP system and related tools to develop reports for Materials Management to monitor, control, and reduce inventory.
