Valmont Industries, Inc. is seeking an experienced Buyer responsible for procurement of assigned items, planning, coordinating, and reviewing activities related to a commodity, and managing inventory to satisfy customer needs.

The role negotiates prices, generates quotations, and expedites purchase orders within the existing strategy. The position requires collaboration with Engineering Change Nots, invoicing discrepancies, shortages, and supplier analyses, with Lean objectives and ongoing

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or Associate's with 2+ years of experience.
• Professional work experience with contract management and negotiations.
• Ability to travel domestically up to 5% of scheduled time.
• Fluent Spanish and English (oral and written) at business level.
• Ability to write reports and present information to managers.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
• Knowledge of ERP systems, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet browsers and plant IT programs.
• Excellent customer service and detail-oriented organizational skills.
• Passion and integrity with drive to excel and deliver results.

Responsabilidades

• Make timely and effective decisions to resolve material shortages in production.
• Maintain strong internal customer satisfaction and relationships with the supply base.
• Ensure economical delivery of purchased material aligned with inventory policy.
• Prepare Return Goods Orders and dispose of rejected material.
• Maintain professional relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
• Expedite overdue purchase orders and verify supplier receipt.
• Provide quotes and negotiate price changes with suppliers.
• Analyze on-hand and reorder levels and adjust data as needed.
• Support Lean initiatives and inventory reduction projects.
• Interact with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement goals.
