Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel seeks a Cybersecurity Level Two Analyst in Mexico to strengthen and maintain our security posture. You’ll monitor alerts, triage incidents, and support incident response while collaborating with the Cyber Defense Organization to protect data.

The role demands 5 years of cybersecurity experience, relevant certifications, and strong scripting skills. Expect daytime hours with on-call nights/weekends for higher-severity incidents in a dynamic, inclusive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or related IT role, with hands-on experience in security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using security tools and technologies (CrowdStrike, NG SIEM, Proofpoint, Abnormal, Palo Alto, Cisco).
• Scripting language proficiency (Python, PowerShell) to filter and analyze data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools and other monitoring systems.
• Analyze and triage security incidents to determine severity and impact.
• Coordinate incident response activities including containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Perform root cause analysis to improve detection and prevention measures.
• Review threat intelligence to understand emerging threats and mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with teams to scope systems with identified vulnerabilities promptly.
• Contain and remove indicators of attack found during threat hunting activity.
• Maintain documentation of incidents, investigations, and remediation efforts.
• Prepare detailed reports on incidents, vulnerabilities, and trends for management.
