Job summary

UPS in Mexico seeks a detail-oriented customs entry clerk to support global trade. You will prepare entries, coordinate freight, and interact with carriers, importers, and overseas offices. The role requires basic knowledge of customs laws and strong data entry skills.

Permanent, on-site position with potential weekend rotations and holiday coverage. You will be part of our logistics team, ensuring timely, compliant entries and clear communication with clients and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of customs operations, laws and regulations, and other government departments.
• Basic understanding of HS system.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customs entries and forwarding freight to designated locations.
• Prepare Customs entries and follow-up with the clearance process on all entries prepared.
• Communicate documentation discrepancies to client and supervisor.
• Coordinate freight delivery to designated locations.
• Resolve finance and accounting reconciliation exchange issues.
• File entries to customs via GBS-CM in a timely and accurate manner.
• Prepare reports/presentations and analyses using various software packages and databases.
• Follow up on documentation discrepancy issues and communicate with customers and foreign origins.
• Establish and maintain client relationships.
