The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant experience and expertise in Mexican Customs Law. Formación

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar position.

We are looking for a Customs Analyst

What are the tasks that you will be doing?

  • Coordinate and execute definitive import processes in compliance with Mexican custom regulations
  • Ensure correct tariff classification of goods according to the TIGIE and international HS codes.
  • Manage NOM compliance (labelling, certifications, and verification processes before EMA and customs).
  • Prepare and validate customs documentation (pedimentos, invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin).
  • Monitor changes in trade regulations, ensuring the company remains compliant with SAT, ANAM, and Secretaría de Economía.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers and logistics providers to ensure timely clearance of shipments.
  • Maintain import records and prepare reports for audits or internal reviews.

You need to know:

  • Mexican Customs Law (Ley Aduanera) and General Foreign Trade Rules (RGCE).
  • Expertise in NOMs applicable to imports (e.g., NOM-016-CRE-2016, NOM-208-SCFI-2007).
  • Analytical skills for tariff classification.
  • Communication and negotiation with customs brokers and authorities.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
