General Motors is hiring a Metallurgical Quality Engineer to support Quality requirements in the Toluca plant. The role is onsite with a 4x3 rotating shift and a 12-month temporary assignment. A metallurgy degree plus 1+ year experience and strong English are required.

The candidate will work with vehicle engineering, monitor global quality metrics, and participate in quality management meetings. Knowledge of IATF and PPAP is preferred, with leadership and coaching capabilities emphasized.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering.
  • Minimum one year of relevant professional experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
  • Availability to work on-site in Toluca on a 4x3 rotating-shift schedule.

Responsabilidades

  • Support vehicle engineering in implementing the Quality Requirements.
  • Monitor consistency to Global Metric Definitions and Performance; maintain documentation of Launch Manufacturing Quality Readiness Reviews.
  • Actively participate in Plant Quality Manager Meetings & Launch Quality Manager Meetings.
  • Manage projects as requested from Quality Shop Director.
  • Proficiency and knowledge of the elements of the GM Quality System / GMS BIQ and of the Quality Launch Plan.
  • Proficiency and knowledge of the requirements in the Global Quality Manual.
  • Coach, teach and audit elements of GM Quality Manual and GMS BIQ Principle and Elements.
  • Present the Assembly Plant and Engineering Staff with clear problem definition, technical mentorship on complex problems, and regular updates on progress.
  • Support Launch of new products in the plant when applicable.
  • Maintain updates to Quality Requirements and deviations; maintain Cost of Quality reports by Plant.

Key Responsibilities

+ Maintain updates to Quality Requirements.
+ Maintain Quality Requirement deviations from plants. Maintain Cost of Quality reports by Plant.
Required Qualifications
