Job summary

Bacardi is seeking a senior environmental professional in Mexico to oversee the wastewater treatment plant, manage hazardous and recyclable wastes, and ensure regulatory compliance with SEMARNAT and other authorities. You will monitor audits and support ISO system integration across ISO 14001, 45001, and 9001.

The role emphasizes leadership in sustainability initiatives, water stewardship, energy use, and emissions reduction, with collaboration across internal teams and external vendors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee wastewater treatment plant operations and performance monitoring.
• Manage hazardous, special handling, and recyclable wastes.
• Coordinate permits, regulatory requirements, and environmental compliance with SEMARNAT, CONAGUA, PROFEPA, and authorities.
• Monitor environmental inspections and audits.
• Oversee environmental service providers and contractors.
• Support ISO 14001 management system integration with ISO 45001 and ISO 9001.

Job description

Key responsibilities include:

• Technical oversight and performance monitoring of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).
• Comprehensive management of hazardous waste, special handling waste, and recyclable materials.
• Coordination and follow-up of permits, regulatory requirements, and environmental compliance activities with SEMARNAT, CONAGUA, PROFEPA, and applicable federal, state and municipal authorities.
• Monitoring environmental inspections and audits.
• Management of environmental service providers and specialized contractors.
• Support for the ISO 14001 Management System and integration with ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 requirements.
• Monitoring environmental KPIs, trend analysis, and development of continuous improvement projects.
• Leadership of sustainability initiatives related to water stewardship, waste management, energy consumption, emissions reduction, regulatory compliance, and resource efficiency.
